Planetary scanners for high-quality and careful digitization of documents of any physical condition appeared in several archives of the Krasnoyarsk Territory at once - ElarSkan A2-400R was installed in the archive department of the administration of the Bolshemurtinsky district, in the archive of the Boguchansky district, in the municipal archives of the Irbeysky and Mansky districts, as well as in the administration of the Pirovsky municipal district, North Yenisei and Uzhursky districts.

ElarScan A2-400 is designed for high-quality and fast digitization of both stitched and embroidered documents. The V-shaped book cradle has the ability to open 90, 120 and 180 degrees. Use professional equipment in archives will be able to scan originals up to 15 cm thick and weighing up to 15 kg. It is worth noting that ElarScan models are included in the RAP register and are a ready-made tool for organizing the processes of digitization of documents and funds in accordance with the requirements of regulators.

With the help of ElarScan, the municipal archives will primarily digitize the most popular and valuable originals. The creation of digital copies of archival materials makes it possible not to turn to paper originals anymore, thereby ensuring the safety of funds and increasing the speed of working with them, in particular, to provide social and legal services to citizens.

2021: Delivery of eight scanners

ElarScans are delivered to eight archives of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Elar announced this on November 23, 2021.

Municipal archives of the cities of Zheleznogorsk and Zelenogorsk, as well as Balakhtinsky, Berezovsky, Emelyanovsky, Ermakovsky, Kuraginsky and Sharypovsky districts received professional scanning equipment of domestic production.

ElarSkan A2-400 planetary scanning complexes were purchased as part of the implementation of the subprogram "Development of archival businesses in the Krasnoyarsk Territory" of the state program "Development of culture and tourism."

Archive employees note that this equipment will speed up the process of digitization of funds and improve the quality of electronic copies. The technique will be used to scan documents of historical, cultural and scientific value.

Employees of the archives explain that the electronic fund created later with the help of equipment will ensure the safety of the originals, operational access to them, including using Internet technologies.
