Schools of Kursk region will get domestic software "MyOffice an Education"

2020: Agreement on voluntary conveyance of the license "MyOffice Education" to all 800 schools of Kursk region

The New cloud technologies company ("MyOffice"), the Russian producer of office software for joint work with documents and communications, announced on August 18, 2020 that it signed the agreement with administration of Kursk region on cooperation in the field of information technologies and transition of the educational organizations of area to Russian software.

In particular, the Administration of Kursk region and New cloud technologies agreed about voluntary conveyance of the license "MyOffice Education" to educational institutions of Kursk region. The software will be received by all 800 schools of area.

The parties also agreed about the organization and holding joint actions for issues of development of the IT industry in the region, a possibility of creation of the working groups on questions of transition on domestic software and building of constructive dialogue between the producer of domestic software products and educational institutions of area.

"According to initiatives of the Government of the Russian Federation the Administration of Kursk region creates necessary conditions for program implementation of digital transformation and import substitution in the region. The accumulated experience and examination of the Russian developer of office products "MyOffice" will help the leaders of area with implementation of transition to primary use of domestic programs according to requirements of the legislation" — Viacheslav Berzin, the deputy governor of Kursk region said.

"MyOffice since 2016 interacts with the government and commercial structures of Kursk region. The agreement on cooperation concerning transition of educational institutions to domestic software — a logical and consecutive step of administration of the region within the program of digital transformation. Delivery of the educational licenses "MyOffice" to educational institutions opens access of young residents of Kursk to tens of thousands to safe Russian products. School students will learn to work in different office programs and will be able independently to draw a conclusion that domestic software is not inferior to popular foreign solutions" — Dmitry Komissarov, the CEO of "MyOffice" said.
