"The Caucasus a product" completes implementation of WMS

R-Style Softlab and Caucasus Product company announced on December 13, 2012 the beginning of cooperation - the warehouse complex of the company should be automated on the RS-Balance 3 WMS platform.

Start

Until recently the warehouse of Caucasus Product company worked at the 1C: Trade Management 8.0 system, did not find out yet that its capacities for fruitful activity are not enough. Then the company management made the decision on need to implement the full-function WMS system which would help to fight against regrading and irrational use of storage locations in a warehouse allowed to increase the speed and quality of processing of requests, facilitated work of employees. As system provider of management of a warehouse according to the results of the held tender the R-Style Softlab company and its solution RS-Balance 3 WMS was selected.

During the project all basic warehouse business processes, including acceptance, placement, storage, selection, inventory, movement and shipment of goods will be automated. Also integration with a corporate system of accounting will be carried out. It is going to organize address storage and to make settings for a possibility of tracking of goods on three signs: expiration date, date of production, property.

In the nearest future the staff of R-Style Softlab will start preproject inspection of a warehouse of Caucasus Product company which will allow to construct the complete scheme of work of a warehouse and considerably will facilitate setup of a system in the future.

To the final

The project team made the analysis of business processes of a warehouse complex, completions of a system according to individual requirements of the Customer are made, instructions for users are prepared, the press service of integrator reported on March 19, 2013.

Employees of the contractor conduct user training, a system works in the testing mode. Complete implementation of WMS and transfer it to production operation it is planned within two weeks.

Future phenomenon

R-Style Softlab announced on April 19, 2013 project completion on system implementation of RS-Balance 3 WMS in a warehouse of Caucasus Product company.

Digits

The warehouse complex of 3.5 thousand sq.m. is automated. The nomenclature inventory includes about 20 thousand names, active SKU - more than 3 thousand. More than one thousand shops use services of a complex as the distribution center and a warehouse of safe custody.

Amount

All tasks characteristic of warehouses of food are solved during the project. The WMS system provides product acceptance control, accounting of expiration dates, shipment by the principle of FEFO, the organization of the zigzag scheme of selection of goods, automatic distribution of orders and determination of their volumes and also an opportunity independently to select a task for selection from "the mobile client".

Uniqueness of this project is that the warehouse "Caucasus Product" is equipped with an electronic information display (the TV-monitor with the built-in browser) which allows clients of the company to control a status of the orders in real time.

Terms

Works took four months: preproject inspection of business processes of a warehouse is executed, settings and completions of a system are made, instructions are written, users are trained. After several weeks of the test mode a system is brought into production operation.

R-Style Softlab hopes that system operation of RS-Balance 3 WMS will well affect further business development of Caucasus Product company.
