When Artel started WMS in a warehouse

On December 30, 2015 it became known of IsWMS system implementation in a warehouse of the Artel company. Integrator in the InStock Technologies project.

The warehouse economy of the Artel company is provided by network of warehouse complexes.

In the project for the Artel company, InStock Technologies in assessment of result of implementation relied on achievement of the indicators declared the client. Time limit on implementation of the project – start of the WMS system in 29 working days was defined by one of the main KPI.

The purposes and figures of merit determined by the client:

• rapid implementation of a system with a possibility of accomplishment of the first transactions in a system in a month after the beginning of works
• implementation of complex functionality on management of merchandising of home appliances:
  • processing of serial numbers, since input on acceptance, accounting in storage and at shipment;
  • data processing, the goods entering compound barcodes;
  • distribution of goods in racks taking into account their dimensions and restrictions on weight;
  • formation of tasks taking into account equipment opportunities;
  • goods acceptance as on the entering deliveries from remote production sites, and on-palletno from production in a production and warehouse complex.

• accuracy of accounting of a trade inventory in a warehouse, including on serial numbers, is close to 100%.
• complete transparency of a trade inventory and tovaroobrabotka for different divisions of the company and the companies of holding.

Achievements in the project

Implementation in a warehouse of the customer is executed by the technique developed by InStock Technologies.

The first transactions with goods in a system began to execute in one calendar month after start of the project.

Project Results

The Artel company received the tool for increase in accuracy and processing speed of a trade inventory, an opportunity for further process optimization in the warehouse working under control of WMS. By means of decoders of barcodes it was succeeded to reach acceleration of work on all transactions of processing of goods, since arrival and before shipment. Reading out the barcode a system automatically obtains information on the article, producer, serial number and other parameters of a product.

The IsWMS system manages distribution of all types of tasks in a warehouse taking into account restrictions in storage, restrictions of the equipment and merchandising, reaching 100% of quality of accounting of goods in a warehouse and not allowing abuse of regulations of its storage.
