SAP will help Biocad to double production of drugs

On April 21, 2020 the SAP company announced that the biotechnology company BIOCAD is going to reduce by the end of the year losses in the control circuit of deliveries to 10% thanks to implementation of the SAP S/4HANA platform supporting both planning and production management, and timely providing with raw materials. IT solution is implemented in commercial operation at the beginning of 2020, the SAPRUN company acted as the partner in implementation.

The BIOCAD company is going to increase considerably in the next several years sales at the expense of the international projects. With respect thereto it was decided to replace a heterogeneous landscape of the existing IT systems for management of operating activities with single easily scalable platform which will allow to process quickly large volumes of data, to be integrated with any external systems and to use the innovative technologies. The exception of problems in settlings with partners, strict observance of correct calculation of tax values and submission due dates of documents in state bodies, transition from accounting of RAS to IFRS became the purpose of implementation of the platform.

BIOCAD produces medicines and it is extremely important to us to correspond both to international quality standards, and requirements of the Russian regulators. The platform will help us to increase efficiency of the company due to creation of end-to-end business processes, centralization of purchasing activity, regular and high-quality closing of the period which term we are going to reduce from a month to 10 days. As a result the company increased efficiency in the field of control of operating expenses, credit risk management and deliveries. Further it is going to increase using integration solutions efficiency of business processes of treasury, to expand functional volume in the field of quality management (Quality Management) and in process optimization of warehouse logistics (Extended Warehouse Management System), to receive the reporting at all managerial levels based on SAP Fiori.

Use of such platform as SAP S/4HANA allows the companies to scale easily the business and to manage effectively operating activities: from purchase of raw materials before product sales. SAP implementation of S/4HANA from scratch in 9 months in volume of the modules FI, CO, MM, SD, PS for types of business production, distribution, non-commercial activity and replacement of a historical system without loss of functionality for business – it was the professional call.
