The library has been digitizing its funds for a long time - these are book monuments, rare books and periodicals, as well as collections of match labels, industrial graphics, photographs, posters and postcards. An electronic library is being developed on the basis of digitized collections.

"Electronekrasovka" is a project of the Library named after N.A. Nekrasov to digitize funds and publish them in the public domain, - said Ilya Starkov, curator of the Electronekrasovka project, - these are special collections of books, periodicals and materials. As of July 6, 2022, more than 60 thousand publications were published. Around the digitized collection "Electronekrasovka" launched cultural media aimed at popularizing archives.

ElarScan S2-800RA is a completely autonomous device and has rich functionality of built-in software for in-line scanning and subsequent processing of electronic images. The functional and technical features of this equipment provide great opportunities: from mass digitization of documents in streaming mode to the creation of master copies of valuable originals.

On the installed scanner, in particular, we plan to digitize 56,000 copies of small graphics - archive labels, wrappers, packages, labels and other industrial graphics, - said Ilya Starkov. - All digitized publications and documents are published on the website of the electronic library "Electronekrasovka."

ELAR Corporation implemented a project in the Central Universal Scientific Library named after N.A. Nekrasov: an image system for viewing and searching for cards of alphabetical subject and systematic catalogs was introduced, as well as a planetary scanning complex was delivered.

Within the framework of the project, ELAR specialists scanned more than 190,000 cards and over 2,500 separators of alphabetical-subject and systematic catalogs. The delimiters are indexed to store the catalog structure in the image system. Library readers will be able to access the system via the Internet.
