2020: Work of systems on the basis of AI on roads of Chelyabinsk

On August 3, 2020 it became known that systems on the basis of artificial intelligence work at some streets of Chelyabinsk. They help to distinguish road accident at 7 intersections of the city and automatically report in service of ambulance if doors of cars after accident do not open. Representatives of SMEU GAI Chelyabinska told about it.

Specialists of SMEU told about how the city situational center which accumulates information on all transport events in the city works. The Intelligent Transport System (ITS) integrates traffic lights, road signs, monitors the movement of the harvest equipment and public transport, plans of the organization of traffic. It daily helps residents of Chelyabinsk quicker and more safely to move on the city: capacity of streets in recent years increased by 12%, and Chelyabinsk took the last place on traffic congestion in the rating of Yandex. We set the object — to integrate all services of the city in the uniform center. Including traffic police, ambulance, fire brigades, services of municipal economy — for collecting, the analysis and data exchange and also an output of all necessary information for acceptance of management decisions on mobile devices of the first people of the city and area. It is important that the management of services emergencies had near at hand operational information: from break of a pipe before road accident — Igor Belyashov, the CEO of JSC SMEU, the operator of the situational center of Chelyabinsk commented on the purposes of creation of a system.

The ITS helps to analyze the accident rate centers. For this purpose every week the traffic police transfers to the situational center for the analysis the updated data on all road accidents which occurred in the city. One more feature Chelyabinsk ITS — traffic lights, united in a single system, and also about 600 video detectors for calculation of traffic. All obtained data are collected on one information display brought to the videowall of the central managing point (CMP) — the situational center.

Here operational decisions which help to unload the city from jams, to reduce death rate on roads are made. The intelligent transport system of Chelyabinsk is unrolled based on the information and integration RITM3 platform ("Rhythm cube") developed by the Russian company SIMETRA.

2019: Implementation of PTV Visum and PTV Vissim

On September 3, 2019 it became known that the company "And + About Transproyekt", Russian competence center in the field of modeling transport of flows and transport planning, delivered City administration of Chelyabinsk software products in Management of road economy PTV Visum and PTV Vissim. SOFTWARE it will be used for development of schemes of the organization of traffic and tracking of their efficiency.

The transport models created by means of the PTV Visum program calculate the forecast of passenger, traffic, cargo flows and help to estimate effect of implementation of proposed solutions: constructions of outcomes, expansions of the carriageway, introduction of routes. PTV Vissim implements the principles of simulation modeling at the microlevel, in the course of simulation continuously modeling the movement of each car within a road network taking into account the set behavioral models. Thanks to the solution it is possible to model networks with different node types and to estimate influence of various forms of intersections on capacity, to carry out the analysis of capacity and transport regulation at difficult stops taking into account the movement of trams and buses and another.

Chelyabinsk Participation of the city in the priority Ministry of Transport Russia project "Safe and Qualitative Roads" during which "And + About Transproyekt" developed the complex scheme of traffic of the city (KSODD) became a starting point in this stage of development of the transport system. At commissioning of the project together with documentation, we gave to the customer static macromodel of traffic flows of the city which was used by our engineers for assessment of the proposed organizational solutions. The next stage in improvement of the city transport system was delivery of the PTV Visum and PTV Vissim software products which will allow colleagues from Management of road economy of Chelyabinsk fully to seize the opportunities of transport model and the developed KSODD project,

2018: Development of the complex scheme of the organization of traffic in Chelyabinsk till 2032

On October 19, 2018 the And + About Transproyekt company, the expert in the field of transport planning and development of IT solutions for management of traffic flows, completed development of the complex scheme of the organization of traffic in Chelyabinsk until 2032. Specialists prepared the draft of the address program of actions on five-year perspective with breakdown by years which in 2018 will be considered by local deputies. The draft of the program covers practically all user groups of transport infrastructure of the modern city and is directed to increase in security and convenience of movement of residents.

For complex assessment of perspectives of town-planning development of Chelyabinsk, assessment of a transport situation, assessment and ranging of perspective actions for development of transport infrastructure of the city, specialists "And + About Transproyekt" developed multimodal transport model of the city which is transferred to the customer and, in the long term, the city ITS (intelligent transport system) can become a core. For improvement of the organization of traffic simulation modeling was executed and options of optimization for 16 most problem transport hubs are offered. A part of offers for October, 2018 is already implemented.

The working team of the project came to the strong conclusion that for convenience of residents of Chelyabinsk and effective development of city business it is necessary to approach the organization of traffic in a complex. And except obvious social results, the city will gain also essential economic effect.

Within the project experts used for modeling the PTV Visum software product and also some modules of own development, software package RITM3 which official commercial release will take place in November, 2018. The software package PTV Visum is intended for creation of mathematical transport models which help to estimate different options of development of the transport systems in the cities of any size and also regions and the states.
