The city of Sochi equips the situational center with a video surveillance system on 1400 video channels

The Nice company announced on November 14, 2012 installation in Sochi of a full range of solutions for video surveillance. The Russian IT integrator "Asteros" is engaged in implementation. Technology in the project - development of NICE Systems company - Nice Situator.

Overview

Within the project all range of products for Nice Systems video surveillance — the system of multiple-factor situational management Nice Situator and software of management of video surveillance of the city NiceVision Net 2.5 level is implemented into infrastructure of Sochi. In total the project plans 1.4 thousand video channels.

Realities

"The safe city" Sochi is equipped with 40 workstations under control of Nice Situator. Project participants note - all cameras of city video surveillance in Sochi are connected to the Nice Vision system.

Tigran Pogosyan, the deputy CEO for strategic projects of MegaFon company said: "The unique video surveillance system based on MegaFon networks will provide the round-the-clock monitoring on the main city roads, public buildings and popular resort complexes. It, in turn, will provide higher efficiency among law enforcement agencies, rescue services, FSB and the Ministry of Emergency Situations and, at the same time, will promote quality improvement of life of locals and city visitors".
