The Russian Railway will equip locomotives with auto pilots with AI

On December 9, 2020 it became known that the affiliated enterprise "Sbera" and Cognitive Technologies is going to make more than two thousand complexes equipped artificial intelligence. Reduction of number of state of emergency because of a human factor will be the main task of auto pilots.

The CEO of Cognitive Pilot Olga Uskova in September, 2020 reported that JSC Russian Railways began to test smart trains. The Cognitive Rail Pilot complex is technical sight and artificial intelligence:

• detects objects on the railroad (structures, shooters, people, etc.);
• estimates a situation, gives to the driver the signals warning about danger;
• it is capable to make decisions if the driver does not react;
• ensures safety in any weather conditions.

We received the certificate of conformity about trial operation, it means that we nayezdit a necessary number of hours on the real railroads. Now we undergo certification within under control operation when the developer is not present at an experimental circuit at all, the customer everything operates itself, till December 31 we are going it to pass. And all this the forerunner of world distribution of this product, next year will be grandiose scaling, - the CEO of Cognitive Pilot Olga Uskova speaks

Yet such technology is not applied anywhere in the world. The Russian Railway is already prepared by locomotives for installation of an intelligent system. Also orders from France, Denmark and Germany arrived. ^[1]
