2023: Modernization of the software and hardware complex for detecting and fixing violations

RuSat Infrastructure Solutions (RIR, part of Rosatom State Corporation) is modernizing and retrofitting the software and hardware complex for detecting and fixing violations in Lipetsk. The main goal of the project is to make it possible to recognize transport in the evening and at night, as well as to increase the monitoring area for collecting analytics while creating safe conditions for movement on public roads. RIR announced this on December 6, 2023.

During the project, software is installed on 109 complexes for parking spaces that will allow them to be used in detector mode. The software part is created on the basis of neural network technology, with the help of which offenses are detected. Now, by introducing parking projects, cities will be able to use parking cameras and as transport detectors for ITS systems, monitoring, search and search, thereby providing additional security measures. In the mode of the transport detector, the complex helps to collect data for operational-search measures, for digitalization of traffic and its control.

You cannot create a perspective transport model without high-quality data collection. This project is another step in building just such a system that collects the necessary information. This is also intended to increase the level of security in the city and the responsiveness to possible incidents. With the help of technologies, we "teach" existing complexes to work more efficiently, expanding their functionality - with the help of one device, you can record several types of events. This is the peculiarity of the complexes - in real time, violations of the stop and parking of vehicles are recorded, recognizing registration plates, violations of the rules of improvement and payment in parking areas, passing traffic, - said Nadezhda Kalinina, deputy head of the digital development department of the Lipetsk region.

A typical parking complex operates in a standard cycle - it records all standing vehicles every 5 minutes. At the same time, he spends 1 minute on the fixation itself, and the remaining 4 minutes are simply inactive. The modernized solution allows at these moments to collect data about the transport stream in real time and transfer them to the necessary systems. It also works, for example, during the period when paid parking does not work.

The main quality of the modernized complex in its versatility is, on the one hand, it is a certified means of measuring time and coordinates, which allows it to record all types of stop violations, landscaping rules, etc. On the other hand, the complex can perform the functions of a transport detector. The equipment and component part of the complex is mainly domestic production, the software part was created by the developers of the RIR.

Thanks to the creation of a digital infrastructure, not only does the efficiency of managing the road complex increase, an assistant appears in identifying offenses.
