2021: Installation of a system of security video monitoring and thermal imagers

On January 11, 2021 it became known that security of squares in Vladivostok is monitored by an intelligent system.

As it was reported, in 2020 in Vladivostok large-scale reconstruction of public territories – nine squares where inhabitants and city visitors will be able to have a rest, play sports was carried out and just to have a good time. Upgrade of parks includes not only gardening and improvement of the territory, but also implementation of technologies for optimization of comfort and safety of visitors. In particular – installation of a system of security video monitoring and thermal imagers for control of fire safety.

The concept of technology equipment of parks in Vladivostok was developed by MTS company which also acted as the system integrator of the project. For simplification of process of a commissioning of IT infrastructure and its further operation the decision to use systems from one supplier who became Hikvision company was made. In the project intelligent cameras, thermal imagers, loggers, the equipment for equipment of the center of monitoring and also the software are used for work with the image and archives.

Using intellectual video analytics a system conducts calculation of visitors of the park, will recognize a sex, age and a human face that allows to solve problems of search of people. For example, to find in the park of the lost child, it is enough to load his photo into a system – the intelligent module on face recognition will carry out the analysis of images from cameras, will help to find the person and will prompt his exact location. For ensuring public security a system can also work with databases of the criminals who are wanted. One more function – recognition of emotions – will allow to provide additional protection of the park and its guests against aggressive-minded visitors, to reveal suspicious situations in the territory of the park that the operator of a system had an opportunity timely to react and take necessary measures.

More than 30 two-spectral thermal imagers will monitor fire safety in squares, signaling about dangerous temperature increase in zones of monitoring and quickly announcing ignitions. Thanks to existence of an optical lens the operator of a security system will be able visually to check a source of the alarm arriving from the thermovision module and to quickly call fire service. Besides, if the intended arson of a dry grass or vandalism becomes the reason of ignition, the operator will also be able to record images of malefactors using an optical lens.

In parks monitor rotary IP cameras with wide angle of a scope to 360 the general situation ° and function of optical 25-fold image magnification. IK-illumination range (up to 200 meters) provides a good visibility of the protected area at night or in cloudy weather. Cameras also control a sound background – in case of loud cottons, sounds of the broken glass, shouts, etc. a system will send an alarm to point of the operator.

A system supports work with technology of Hikvision company – AcuSense which allows to classify and filter alarms. For example, the movement of small animals in a frame, the falling leaves, rainfall and other natural phenomena will not cause operation of an alarm, unlike standard security systems. Thanks to this function operators of a system can focus the attention only on really significant events and incidents.

Distinctive possibility of all security system in parks of Vladivostok is use of neural network technologies based on algorithms of deep learning. The analytics of Deep Learning not only copes with search of people, but also is capable to reveal standard wrongful acts in the automatic mode to protect both visitors, and property of the park from actions of vandals.

The uniform point of monitoring is constructed based on IP video recorders with wide feature set for video analytics and also data management. Information from all cameras and thermal imagers which are mounted in parks is flown down on devices. The operator can work with any selected camera: browse the image, conduct search of the necessary person or a subject, to check sources of alarms. The general base of persons, work with which one device can support, reaches 100 thousand images which can be broken into thematic "libraries" up to 30 thousand photos. Thanks to functions of intellectual search in distinctive features the operator can find for several seconds the necessary frame in archive.

At the heart of all system the software of HikCentral and add-on software modules for work with thermal imaging cameras, with analytics for face recognition and calculation of visitors, drawing up reports and maintaining statistics is used.

Further similar projects on security are going to be worked also for other public recreation areas in the city.
