The Moscow Domodedovo Airport [1] implemented technology of virtual reality (VR) in the system of target training[2] The presentation of technology took place in November, 2017 within the DME Live Classic 2017 (DLC) simulator – an annual educational action during which future staff of the company purchases skills of management of airport business.
The first VR module is directed to working off of actions of specialists of the airport during emergencies. In virtual reality the environment of the airport complex of Domodedovo and more than 50 emergencies different types, including crash landing of the aircraft are completely recreated.
"The user, having put on VR glasses, plays a role of the shift supervisor of the airport who, as in real life, is responsible for the organization of liquidation of an emergency situation. Use of modern technologies and specialized simulators for formation at students of practical management skills is a know-how of a system of training of Domodedovo Airport", - Andrikyan Darya, the head of the IT project in Domodedovo Integration on implementation of VR noted.
The Transparent House company acted as the developer of the VR program.
