GDM moved another warehouse under Axelot WMS management

2024: Replication of Axelot WMS to a warehouse in Tbilisi

After the successful completion of the pilot project for the implementation of AXELOT WMS at the warehouse in Kutaisi, GDM, in cooperation with AXELOT, replicated the solution to the site in Tbilisi. Axelot announced this on May 6, 2024.

For many years, GDM has been cooperating with AXELOT in terms of logistics development.

The storage area of ​ ​ the site in Tbilisi for May 2024 is 10,000 square meters. m In addition, in parallel with the launch of AXELOT WMS, GDM completed the construction of a new part of the warehouse.

In general, within the framework of the replication project in the warehouse in Tbilisi, the same functionality was used as in the warehouse in Kutaisi. Additionally, the following functionality was implemented:

• Planning of maximum cell filling when replenishing a cell for a shipment order
• group selection technology;
• Manage flights to schedule the arrival and departure times of vehicles and record them when forming shipment tasks.

The integration of AXELOT WMS into the company's information loop was also carried out using the DATAREON ESB data bus.

The language barrier did not become an obstacle to the adaptation of the linear personnel of GDM warehouses to work in the system. The interface of the mobile client used to work in WMS on data collection terminals is completely translated into Georgian as part of the standard functionality of the system. At the same time, language changes are possible both at the interface level and at the data level and reference book elements.

As a result of the implementation of AXELOT WMS in the GDM warehouse, all key technological processes have been digitized. As a result of the project, the company has gained extensive opportunities for further development and optimization of logistics using automation tools.

2023: Implementation of WMS in Kutaisi

In the summer of 2023, the companies completed a pilot project for the implementation of AXELOT WMS at the Kutaisi site.

2020: Automation of in-house movement processes

The objectives of the project included a general increase in the accuracy of accounting and the organization of accounting for goods in terms of shelf life. It was necessary to automate the processes of intra-warehouse movements of goods, organize address storage and integrate WMS with the corporate system for the prompt exchange of information.
