According to the signed document, Grand Motors will ensure the installation of an autonomous control system for agricultural machinery based on Cognitive Agro Pilot AI on CNH Industrial serial products (combines) before selling it to consumers. The company will also make direct sales of the Cognitive Agro Pilot system to consumers who already own CNH and Case New Holland equipment and are interested in improving the efficiency of their farms by using AI in harvesting crops.
The installation of the Cognitive Agro Pilot system on CNH and Case New Holland combines will be carried out by Grand Motors, without the participation of Cognitive Pilot specialists, which, according to the company, is a confirmation of the high level of quality and ease of use of the product.
Grain farming is the main direction of agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The sown areas of grain crops in the country as of October 2022 amount to more than 997.5 thousand hectares. The most common crops are wheat, corn and sunflower.
The agreement provides for the delivery of up to 100 Cognitive Agro Pilot kits per year. In addition, Cognitive Pilot expects to begin shipping the Cognitive Agro Pilot version for tractors to Azerbaijan in 2023, which will increase sales of the smart system in this region several times.
