State Corporation Rosatom conducts a large-scale purchase of software of the Russian computer-aided design system Compass-3D. The total contract value is ₽262,5 million. This was reported by CNews on October 16, 2025.
Information about the tender is posted on the public procurement portal on September 26, 2025. The purchase was placed by the trading platform on behalf of the company "RuSat Critical Information Technologies." The initiator of the software acquisition was the joint-stock company Atomkomplekt. Both organizations are subsidiaries of the State Corporation Rosatom.
Acceptance of applications for participation in the tender was carried out until October 8, 2025. Summing up the selection of the supplier is scheduled for October 17, 2025. The procurement is carried out in a simplified form on the basis of regulatory documents of the state corporation.
The subject of the agreement is the acquisition of non-exclusive licenses for a wide range of software products and applications included in the Compass-3D ecosystem. The total number of software and related product licenses purchased is 3863 units.
The nomenclature includes permanent licenses for major systems and applications. The purchase includes numerous service packs from previous versions of the software. The contract provides for the purchase of comprehensive licenses for large workplaces.
Compass-3D is a domestic computer-aided design system for creating three-dimensional models, drawings and design documentation. The software developer is the Russian company ASCON. The system is used in mechanical engineering, construction, instrument making and other industries.
The program is included in the register of domestic software. The use of the product protects against the risks of sanctions and blockages in Russia. The transition to domestic solutions corresponds to the state policy of import substitution in a critical information infrastructure.[1]
