Gazprom has completed the transition to the VK WorkSpace communication platform. The software was deployed on the company's internal servers. This was announced on June 6, 2025 by the press service of VK Tech.

The introduction of a digital solution made it possible to integrate the platform with existing corporate IT services and cybersecurity systems of the energy holding. According to the press service of VK Tech, the oil and gas corporation has chosen domestic software, focusing on a comprehensive solution for corporate communications. Gazprom took into account the ease of use of the platform, a wide range of integrated services and compatibility with the existing technological infrastructure of the enterprise.

The VK WorkSpace platform includes corporate mail with a calendar, a messenger with audio and video calling capabilities, online conference functions and cloud storage. All collaboration tools are available to employees in a single space with an intuitive management interface.

Head of the Department of PJSC Gazprom Nikolay Kislenko noted the priority of ensuring the continuity of business processes during the migration of corporate systems. He announced the phased implementation of the transition with the maintenance of parallel and stable operation of the previous and new system for uninterrupted use of services.

Nikolay Kislenko emphasized the advantages of a single platform that eliminates the need to switch between different applications to perform work tasks. The head noted the integration of services with each other, which solves the problem of mailbox overflow when sending large investments.

The new system provides synchronous operation of corporate mail and cloud data storage. Volumetric files are automatically uploaded to cloud storage, which unloads the mail server and eliminates the need to regularly archive employee emails.

What communication platform Gazprom used earlier is not specified in the press release. In 2011, the Russian company entered into a major contract with Microsoft, under which Gazprom planned to implement solutions for employee collaboration and project management Exchange,  Lync,  Sharepoint, Project,  Visio and Microsoft Office .
