In Sasovo the dialysis center prepares for opening

At the end of March, 2018 it became known that in the city of Sasovo the dialysis center in which will render the planned out-patient help to patients with the chronic renal failure (CRF) prepares for opening. As reported, the medical institution of 650 sq.m is equipped with 10 devices "artificial kidney" of the last generation that will allow to treat by method of a hemodialysis of 60 patients. Emergence of 20 jobs will become result of opening of the dialysis center.

The dialysis center in Sasovo

The center is created thanks to implementation of the investment project in Ryazan according to the agreement of 3/29/2012 on intentions between Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbH company and the Government of the Ryazan region. The ex-governor, nowadays senator, Oleg Kovalyov initiated the beginning of construction of the second in the field of the dialysis center Frezenius LLC in the city of Sasovo.

Considering a significant amount of patients with HPN in Sasovskom and nearby areas and remoteness of these localities on 200 kilometers opening of the dialysis center in Sasov will allow 15 patients to receive available and timely medical care from Ryazan, without leaving city boundaries.

In the long term the center will be able to render medical services to patients using peritoneal dialysis which is the alternative method of replacement kidney therapy giving the chance to patients to undergo treatment at home.

As told in the regional Ministry of Health, as of the beginning of 2018, receive replacement kidney therapy peritoneal dialysis of 20 people, by method of a hemodialysis of 275 people. It is helped in city clinical hospital No. 11, in the dialysis center Frezenius LLC in Ryazan and in interdistrict these centers in Sasov, Kasimov, Shilov, Skopin, Ryazhsk. In them there are about 2 dialysis places which can accept during the 3-shift work of 12 patients.

Thus, opening of the Sasovsky center will facilitate life to many people needing dialysis.

The hemodialysis is the most widespread type of treatment of a chronic renal failure. It allows to purify by means of the device "artificial kidney" blood from toxins, to regulate water and electrolytic and acid-base balance of an organism. Standard therapy means carrying out a hemodialysis three times a week 4 hours, but in many cases duration and frequency of the procedure are individual. The hemodialysis helps to provide to patients with HPN rather high level of life and prolongs it up to 30 years.^[1]
