The Russian National Research Centre Kurchatov Institute upgrades DPC

On June 3, 2014 it became known of delivery of the Extreme Networks switches for Kurchatov Institute. Delivery was executed by Borlas company.

Project Results

Specialists of Borlas performed delivery and carried out setup of the Extreme Networks switches for a node of Tier1 level of GRID network of data processing of the Large Hadron Collider located in a data processing center of Kurchatov Institute.

The Extreme Networks BlackDiamond X8 and Extreme Networks Summit X670V-48x switches provide the high performance and capacity for processing of large volumes of data. The equipment provides the high density of ports 10/40 Gb, the switching matrix performs correct processing of convergent information at the maximum loads. Presence of ports 40 GbE at the Summit X670V switches helps to optimize deployment of new servers with interfaces 10 GbE and provide scalability of levels of switching of L2 and L3.
