According to the Kommersant newspaper, referring to information received from a source in the telecommunications market, VimpelCom is testing equipment from various suppliers. In the future, a forward contract with Irteya for the purchase of 10 thousand base stations until 2030 is possible. Independent analyst Alexei Slukin estimates the cost of such a batch at 20-30 billion rubles, that is, each station will cost 2-3 million rubles. Slukin says that Irteya has several production positions in the register of telecommunications equipment of Russian origin of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which gives it some advantages in procurement.

VimpelCom notes that the company is exploring all possible alternatives, including both solutions from companies already known to the market, such as Irteya, and the products of new players who create products of a comparable level. Irtei, in turn, said that the company cooperates with all domestic mobile operators: within the framework of this interaction, functions corresponding to customer requests are tested and implemented. MTS welcomes the expansion of cooperation between Irtei and other participants in the domestic telecom equipment market.[1]
