On February 25, 2019 LWCOM reported that within the project the system integrator booked complex audit of printing infrastructure, updated, reduced and unified the park of devices and also implemented the systems of safe printing and the centralized monitoring of devices for PJSC Kirov Plant.
Specialists of LWCOM audited printing infrastructure of the enterprise within which they collected information on its status and selected a number of the main problems:
- former infrastructure represented the separate park of the copy equipment with a surplus of devices: a part of devices was connected locally, optimal load of devices was also not calculated;
- in connection with the separate park of the printing equipment there were difficulties with forecasting of purchase of supplies and rendering services;
- part of the equipment was outdated and not network;
- there were no technologies of safe printing;
- there was no single centralized system of monitoring of all printing equipment and accounting of number of the printed documents and supplies.
After carrying out audit by specialists of LWCOM the plan of upgrade of printing infrastructure which included transition to the equipment of RICOH producer was developed. 70 devices which separated into 5 groups were delivered: monochrome printers of A4 format, color and monochrome MFPs of A4 format, desktop monochrome MFPs of A3 format, floor full-color MFPs of A3 format.
For device management and document flow and also implementation of safe printing with authorization the software platform of Streamline NX was implemented. Specialists of LWCOM performed integration and tuning of the software product within what politicians of printing, copying and scanning according to tasks and business processes of the enterprise were created.
The project allowed to create the uniform center of monitoring of a status of devices. Also based on Streamline NX the system of the monthly reporting for purchasing departments and accounting under consumable materials was created.
The single interface with a possibility of simple scaling and preserving of thin setup was developed for all users, also depending on requirements of each of departments a number of the functions necessary for document flow implementation was configured, such as: printing on templates, text recognition with search, scanning with autosubstitution of the address, etc.
Updating and unification of the park of printing copiers which number was reduced from 229 to 70 units became result of the performed works. The scheme of optimal and safe arrangement of devices at offices and the general premises was developed for the updated park of devices.
