2022: Localization of IT Infrastructure and IT Services for Business

The CROC Cloud Services team helped Marsh - Insurance Brokers JSC, which in February 2023 continues to work on the Russian market under the Remind brand, to ensure the localization of IT infrastructure and services in Russia. This was announced on February 8, 2023 by representatives of the KROKOcloud services. Within the framework of the project, a cloud infrastructure was built from scratch in our country in a few months, the implementation and support of all the IT services necessary for business was provided.

In the spring of 2022, when it was decided to localize the Russian division of the company, the company faced a serious task - to rebuild all IT processes. The situation was complicated by the fact that the transition project had to be implemented in a few months. At the same time, the company did not have a large team inside the IT department to perform this task. That is why they immediately began to search for a provider who would be ready to provide us with a comprehensive service for localizing IT systems in a short time, told Stanislav Nikonov, Director of the Department of Information Technologies and Systems of the insurance broker Remind.

The main requirement for the provider was experience in building cloud and network infrastructure from scratch, and its subsequent maintenance. At the same time, the cloud platform itself was supposed to be completely independent of foreign vendors. The choice in favor of CROC Cloud services was due to the fact that the company's product is its own development, independent of foreign software, as well as the presence of a large team of experts on cloud, network architecture, infrastructure protection, office software maintenance.

The CROC's proposal to localize the IT infrastructure included several elements. First, the design of the cloud IT infrastructure using the IaaS model with duplication of key nodes for fault tolerance, as well as the construction of a network architecture. Secondly, the deployment and hosting of corporate IT services such as e-mail, internal and external corporate portals and systems, the possibility of remote access for employees. Thirdly, the implementation of solutions for protecting corporate services and their support.

As a result, in 2 months, CROC experts Cloud Services designed and implemented the introduction of cloud infrastructure and corporate IT services. The customer received ecosystem solutions in a short time and was able to quickly switch to them even before disconnecting from the the European provider's cloud. For February 2023, the CROC team continues to administer and support the implemented solutions, and also implements in backup. The entire protected storage complex IT services of the customer received from one provider in a short time, thanks to which he was able to continuously carry out business in, RUSSIAN FEDERATION working with a ready-made IT platform without the need to expand the IT staff.

The need for localization of Russian divisions of foreign companies is a very frequent request that was received from customers in 2022. The project with Remind became one of the most interesting and complex, since it was necessary to implement not only seamless migration, but also carefully build the entire ecosystem of corporate solutions in order to ensure a comfortable user experience for the employees of the Russian division.
