2022: Implementation of SecurOS ITS

Rostov agglomeration As part of the creation intelligent transport system , a subsystem for detecting road incidents, collecting and analyzing transport flow parameters is being introduced. The SecurOS ITS company ISS announced this on January 17, 2023. The system will provide the collection data necessary to assess the state and effectively manage the city's road network. will Information be collected from cameras installed on busy roads. Rostov-on-Don

The solution developed by ISS will help to quickly identify abnormal situations on the roads and, as a result, respond to them faster. The system automatically detects an accident, congestion, stopping the vehicle in the wrong place, the presence of pedestrians on the roadway, etc. Analysis of the data obtained will allow effective work on the prevention of emergency situations on the roads.

SecurOS ITS also allows you to track the intensity of the transport flow, its composition, average speed and traffic density. Based on the results of the system, changes can be made to the schedule and traffic patterns of public transport, the organization of traffic on specific sections of roads. The data will help to more accurately adjust the operating modes of traffic lights and redistribute traffic flows in order to increase throughput and reduce the travel time of intersections. Statistical information on traffic congestion will help to plan work on their maintenance.

The creation of ITS in the Rostov agglomeration will increase the level of safety for all road users, reducing the accident rate and severity of the consequences of an emergency, unloading transport highways, reducing the number of congestion, and optimizing the intervals of public transport. As a result, the region will become more comfortable and safe for both drivers and pedestrians.
