Somers (part of Softline Group of Companies) has developed payment software with the function of accepting electronic certificates for Modulbank. Now customers-entrepreneurs of the bank will be able to accept payment not only with bank cards and QR codes, but also with electronic certificates of state support. Softline announced this on January 13, 2025.

Modulbank has existed since 2014, the organization is focused on digital and banking services for small and medium-sized businesses.

Kass Module offered entrepreneurs 3 in 1 terminals with the functions of commodity accounting, accepting non-cash payments and transferring fiscal data to the tax service. To develop the capabilities of these devices, Kass Module turned to the specialists of the Somers team (part of Softline Group of Companies), with whom three years of experience in cooperation on acquiring products have already been developed. As a result of the 3 in 1 project, cash desks were supposed to be able not only to accept all basic methods of non-cash payment, but also to work with a new payment instrument - an electronic certificate.

An electronic certificate is a way to subsidize citizens from the National Payment Card System (NSPK), an electronic record tied to the Mir card. The certificate allows owners of state support to independently buy goods and services at the expense of budget funds. The electronic record indicates what goods, services, and at what cost you can purchase with it.

In order for Modulkassa devices to accept electronic certificates, phased work was required: to agree on infrastructure nuances, to finalize the bank's commodity accounting system, to develop new functionality in payment software. The solution has already been certified by the NSPK, a pilot project has been launched on the basis of several specialized entrepreneur clients.
