Nielsen signed the outsourcing IT contract for $2.25 billion

In December, 2017 the Indian IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the conclusion of the next large outsourcing contract with the American agency Nielsen which specializes in marketing researches and media measurements. 

Within the agreement which will cost Nielsen $2.25 billion TSC will render any professional services connected with information technologies (development and support of applications), business process outsourcing, financial planning, analytics, methods of management, etc.

From 2017 to 2020 the American company will transfer to TSC not less than $320 million annually, in 2021–20214 — from $186 million, and in 2025 the payment amount will make $139.5 million.

Terms of the contract assume a possibility of its prolongation for five years and also still three times for one year. The current agreement expires on December 31, 2025.

TSC is an outsourcing partner of Nielsen long ago. In 2008 the companies signed the 10-year agreement for the amount of $1.2 billion, and in the 2013th increased a financial component to $2.5 billion.

As notes the India Today edition, cooperation increase with Nielsen is strengthened by the authority of the CEO  Rajesh Gopinathan who headed TSC in February, 2017 after his predecessor Natarajan Chandrasekaran promoted and became the chairman of the board of directors of Tata Sons — the holding company of Tata Group conglomerate which includes TCS.[1]

The Reuters news agency reports that the new contract between TSC and Nielsen consists when prophesy to the Indian market of IT services of $100 billion recovery from the crisis by growth of expenses of the acting clients of the local IT companies and increase in number of new customers.
