2020: Ensuring commercial accounting of oil

On July 27, 2020 KRUG company reported that it helps to consider oil on a production facility of JSC Transneft — Western Siberia"The Omsk linear production and dispatching station (LPDS)".

According to the company, determination of qualitative indexes of oil was a project objective, ensuring accuracy of commercial accounting of commodity oil and accounting settlement transactions when transporting oil and oil products is an essential factor for reduction of product cost and transparency of calculations between the Supplier and the Consumer.

The automated accomplishment of functions of commercial accounting of commodity oil when carrying out accounting settlement transactions between JSC Transneft — Western Siberia, JSC Transneft Urals and Refinery is provided by the Information processing system of SIKN No. 13 of the Omsk LPDS (SIKN No. 13 SOY).

The main objectives of a system – ensuring commercial accounting of oil with information transfer in the existing enterprise information system and also minimization of production costs thanks to trouble-free operation of the equipment SIKN.

Information functions of a system:

  • Measurement and conversion of the input electric signals arriving from measuring sensors in values of values of streaming parameters of oil
  • Accounting (summing) of volume and weight gross oil based on measurements of a volume flow, density, temperature and pressure of oil
  • Display of all parameters of accounting of oil to the automated workplace of operators in the form of technology symbolic circuits, diagrams, tables and reports
  • Formation of the signal and sound light about deviations, about emergency situations and faults of the equipment
  • Check of reliability on borders, on the speed of change and other criteria
  • Recording of all events of a system: an exit of signals for settings, emergency situations
  • Calculation of net weight of the oil which passed through SIKN on the basis of results of measurements in a BIC and in testing laboratory: a mass fraction of water, chloride salts and mechanical impurity in oil
  • Formation and printing of interval reports (two-hour, replaceable, daily) and also the delivery and acceptance certificates and quality certificates conforming to requirements of ND
  • Formation and printing of protocols of checking and KMH of flowmeters
  • Long-term storage archive data (trends, minutes of events and reports)
  • Providing personnel with retrospective information (minutes of events, contemporary records and documents, etc.) for the analysis, the organization and work planning of SIKN
  • Manual entry of data (quality certificate, changes of settings, settings of parameters, etc.).

Managing functions of a system:

  • Automatic control of measuring lines (inclusion, switching off, maintenance of the set expense for the purpose of accomplishment of checkings), management of latches and cranes with signaling of their provision
  • Algorithms execution gas - and fire protection of the building of the block of quality
  • Management of a duplicate equipment and measuring instruments
  • Checking and KMH of flowmeters in the automated mode
  • Control of samplers.

Service functions of a system:

  • Display of diagnostic information on a condition of equipment and communication lines
  • Time synchronization of subscribers of a system (automated workplace of operators and controllers)
  • Data transmission from the station of the operator in an external system on corporate network of the enterprise (the current parameters, in 2 hours, change, day, the passport and the delivery and acceptance certificate).

Access to functions is provided according to the set differentiations of the access levels by individual passwords of access for each user.

The Information Processing System (IPS) of SIKN No. 13 of the Omsk LPDS is developed using standard technical solutions of NPF KRUG with the multistage fault protection providing reliability. SIKN No. 13 SOY represents a two-level system.

Controller level of a system is provided by an accounting cabinet with the measuring computer system which provides measurement and processing of input signals from SIKN sensors, control of shut-off and control valves electric drives, pumps and fans and also data exchange with the top level on the reserved Ethernet communication line. The measuring computer system is executed with "hot" reservation.

For integration of SIKN No. 13 SOY with SOI of the truboporshnevy testing installation (TTI) in a cabinet of SIKN the DevLink-C1000 controller performing data communication functions under the Modbus TCP protocol is in addition installed.

The top level contains the reserved automated workplaces of the operator running the Russian SCADA KRUG-2000 performing collecting, processing, storage and data visualization from controllers and also formation and printing of reporting documents. Besides, automated workplaces issue information on the Ethernet local area network in the system of dispatching control and management (SDKU) of technology process of transportation of oil.

For information exchange between controllers and the top level the wire channel of communication of Ethernet is used. Data transmission in SDKU is performed by technology process of transportation of oil from an automated workplace of operators of SIKN by means of the corporate Ethernet computer network.

Information power of a system:

  • Quantity of channel variables - 750
  • Quantity of trends – 150
  • Quantity of symbolic circuits – 20
  • The number of reporting documents – 10
  • Depth of storage of archives – not less than 1 year.

Due to the continuous, round-the-clock operation mode of SIKN all works on expansion, updating and upgrade of the software take place without oil accounting process stop.

Project deliverables is the following:

  • Increase in accuracy of commercial accounting of oil and measurement of process parameters according to a release of regulating documents
  • Ensuring long trouble-free operation of SIKN
  • Minimization of production and non-productive operating costs and maintenance of the equipment thanks to timely detection, registration and signaling of emergency situations in real time
  • Increased security and labor productivity of operation and service staff.

The KRUG company performs works on delivery of the software of controllers of accounting and the top level, engineering and a commissioning of a system.

2016

Project Development

On November 10, 2016 the NPF KRUG company announced upgrade of software of a system of measurement of quantity and oil quality figures (SIKN) No. 13 on SCADA KRUG-2000 platform at the Omsk linear production and dispatching station (LPDS).

In connection with the publication of the regulating documents developed by JSC Transneft, regulating requirements to automated systems there was a need to bring SIKN No. 13 software into accord with regulating documents:

  • RD-35.240.50-KTN-109-13 Automation and telemechanization of technology equipment of areal and linear objects of trunk oil pipelines and oil pipelines. Basic provisions
  • MI 3532-2015 "Recommendation. GSI. Recommendations about determination of mass of oil at accounting transactions using oil quantity and quality measuring systems"
  • OTT-35.240.00-KTH-010-12 "APCS and PTS of the Company. Information security. General technical requirements".

The main changes affected information security systems (new groups of access, time constraint on action of users, inundated registration of users, registration of unsuccessful attempts of an input, etc.).

Implementation of requirements was provided by functionality of version 4.2 SCADA KRUG-2000. Report forms on oil accounting are developed:

  • Magazine of registration of indications of measuring instruments,
  • Oil quality certificate,
  • Delivery and acceptance certificate,
  • Two-hour report
  • Replaceable report.

Project of upgrade of a system of measurement of quantity and oil quality figures of oil pumping station No. 2

On February 15, 2016 the NPF KRUG company announced the project of upgrade of a system of measurement of quantity and oil quality figures of oil pumping station No. 2 of the Omsk LPDS within the program of modernization[1].

Project Results

Set to NPF KRUG the modern version of the Russian SCADA KRUG-2000 and the real-time system of controllers (RTSC). Replacement of products is executed in connection with replacement of a relay system of the block of measurement of quality of oil and the system of automatic equipment (BKSA) by microprocessor.

Omsk LPDS (2013)

SIKN No. 13 of the Omsk LPDS is implemented in 1999. Upgrade of the software helped to execute information exchange with the block of measurement of quality of oil and NPS-2 automatic equipment of the Omsk LPDS reconstructed by a system.
