The Far Eastern network of minimarkets "Once Two" unloaded the queues, a year ago installing the first self-service islands. At the end of 2022, self-service cash desks were chosen by up to a third of the network's buyers. This was announced on January 26, 2023 by CSI.

The Once Two and Sambury FMCG chains have been part of the Nevada Group, which has been operating in the Far East grocery retail market since 1994. As of January 2023, about 200 stores are presented in various formats - from hypermarkets to discounters and convenience stores. Since December 2021, the existing and new Once Two stores have been equipped with CSI K self-service cash desks under the control of POSet Retail, which also operates at the chain's classic cash desks. The retailer places two to four self-service checkouts in one supermarket. 36 CSI K cash desks are installed.

The results of efficiency measurements conducted in December 2022 showed that the loading of the CSR island in some stores reaches 86% - during peak hours (from 17:00 to 20:00). The capacity of the CSR island withstands the daily workload, and also retains the stock for the influx of buyers on holidays, without queues. An average of 26% of all customers pass through self-service checkouts for the week, and 33% in some stores.

One check takes about 40 seconds with a market average of 1.5 minutes (according to CSI analysts). This indicator was achieved by the lightweight equipment of cash registers and the competent distribution of traffic flows in the framework of the preparation of the project: as planned, buyers with small purchases go to the CSR.

To equip minimarkets, we chose the complete set of CSI K ticket offices without a control and weight platform. That's how we saved space by keeping customers comfortable. Direct integration with the Set Retail software solution made it possible to connect an external loyalty program to self-service cash desks with all the privileges that we use at classic cash desks, without modifications.
