2022: TopLog WMS Implementation

On July 8, 2022, Toplog announced the completion of the project to re-automate the Nizhny Novgorod warehouse of the manufacturer of stationery and household goods for business - Opticom. Next, the TopLog WMS system was implemented at the customer's warehouse in Moscow. The total area of storage facilities in two cities is 23,000 square meters. m.

Prior to cooperation with Toplog, OPTICOM used a different WMS system in its warehouses, but its functionality and capabilities of additional add-ons did not meet business objectives.

The manual needed a multifunctional solution, with flexible settings and open source software. As a result, the warehouse management system TopLog WMS was selected.

Re-automation of warehouse logistics "OPTIKOM" began with the integration of WMS in a Nizhny Novgorod warehouse with an area of 4,500 square meters. m. The assortment placed in the warehouse for July 2022 includes 4,000 items of goods - consumables and packaging materials, household goods.

Thanks to the rich functionality of the Russian development of TopLog WMS, it has become easier for personnel to perform their work, because the system automatically forms and distributes tasks, taking into account many factors of warehouse operation. Management has received at its disposal an effective tool for managing warehouse logistics. The speed of work has increased, the quality of fulfillment of orders, idle runs of equipment and workers have been excluded.

The development of Toplog - TopLog WMS - is created on the 1C platform, so it easily integrates with any information system used in the warehouse.

As part of the project carried out for OPTICOM warehouses, the TopLog WMS solution was integrated with 1C: Trade Management.

Exchange data from CIS: about purchase and shipment orders, about internal movements, about returns to warehouse or supplier transport information and takes place through the exchange bus and takes several seconds.

WMS, in turn, sends to 1C: Trade Management information on the status of execution of orders, on accepted and shipped goods, etc.

In the TopLog WMS system, the manager can generate the reports he needs on the work of the warehouse: on balances, employee development, order status, storage capacity and many others.

Results of the project for re-automation of the Nizhny Novgorod warehouse of OPTIKOM:

  • Fully automated processes for all warehouse operations on inbound and outbound flows
  • Set up the principles and logic of the goods movement in the warehouse
  • The work of the personnel has become completely transparent to the management: it is always clear which employee performs what task;
  • The customer, with the help of his IT specialists, can provide technical support for TopLog WMS, make adjustments and configure the system for new goals and tasks.
