On May 26, 2014 it became known of end in Byurokrat company of an implementation project of a system of production planning ORTEMS. The partner in implementation - TOPS Consulting company.
Project Tasks
Own production of products Bureaucrat is located in the Moscow region. For effective management of large-scale production the company management constantly improves business processes and considers continuous development by the main objective.
Within this concept in the company the decision on search of more perfect technology of planning is made. It should provide:
- effective use of the equipment;
- increase its loading and uniformity of distribution;
- increase number of the orders shipped in time;
- make planning process faster and exact.
As the automation system the company selected APS- a system ORTEMS.
Project Progress
The main limiter of production volume of products - extrusion of a polyethylene film (the transaction executed for product receipt of a shaped profile of polymers). Therefore the project team paid the main attention to optimization of loading of an extruder:
- technology readjustments by such parameters as texture, thickness, transparency of a film are minimized;
- transitions on color of a film are optimized;
- optimal volumes of batches for different sorts of a film are picked up;
- the task unavailable to the majority of systems - planning of a simultaneous exit from an extruder of different names of a film is solved.
Project Results
Ivan Kotov, the Head of Department of the systems of production planning of TOPS Consulting company, told: "The bureaucrat operates more than 20 thousand with articles. The production division buys and stores about 5,200 articles of raw materials and component parts used in production. ORTEMS without effort copes with such volumes, allowing to optimize the production program on work centers taking into account production process restrictions, to quickly adjust the plan on the basis of information on breakdowns of the equipment and deviations of performance, to prepare replaceable tasks, to adjust production schedules upon production of production lots. The important moments are clear visualization of placement of production orders on the equipment and release of masters in workshops from expensive planning transactions on time".
Sergey Tolkachev, the director of MERLION production department, noted: "The ORTEMS system, eventually, helps to work more effectively to each employee of production: competent planning allows us to optimize purchases and warehouse stocks, to use production capacities more effectively and to turn out more products in time. By our calculations, we achieved growth of an indicator of the orders executed in time to 96%, and it means – more happy customers, it is more than opportunities and perspectives of business development".
On project deliverables time for drawing up production schedules is three times reduced, loading of the equipment is optimized, production costs are reduced, more than 90% of orders are executed in time.
