2024: Axelot WMS Rollout Complete

Carton manufacturer Packaging Systems has completed the introduction of AXELOT WMS in the spare parts and materials warehouse. Axelot (Axelot) announced this on May 14, 2024.

Automation ensured an increase in the efficiency of the company's warehouse in all key indicators.

An important step in optimizing warehouse processes and improving the quality of customer service of Packaging Systems JSC was the introduction of the WMS system in the warehouse of spare parts, components and materials, from which all necessary components and spare parts are supplied for servicing and repairing the fleet of equipment at customer enterprises.

AXELOT WMS was chosen to implement the project, the vendor's specialists analyzed the processes and carried out automation at the warehouse in Lobna with an area of about 1,500 square meters. m. In addition to floor storage and pallet racks, automated storage systems are used here.

Most of the goods are stored in 10 elevator racks, which makes it possible to ensure a high storage density in the warehouse and, with its relatively small area, maintain a high intensity of cargo processing. During acceptance, the system takes into account the "purpose" of the product for each rack and separates the tasks for its placement on different performers.

When you assemble orders, all processes in the system are divided into mono orders and mixed orders. In the first case, the entire order is assembled in one elevator rack, in the second - in several racks. This division allows you to distribute tasks between performers so that they do not interfere with each other and do not create "queues" to the rack.

In addition, if when assembling a mixed order, the employee came to the "busy" elevator rack, he can skip all tasks from it and continue to work on the order further. Within the framework of the project, the number of operations on shipping documentation and AWS was expanded, in which, in addition to other information on the task, a photo of the product is also displayed on the performer's screen, which simplifies the identification of the part and reduces the risk of error.

The AXELOT project team independently completed all work on integration the WMS solution and the customer's corporate information system using the DATAREON Platform.
