At the end of November, 2019 it became known that the police of the state Massachusetts began to use Boston Dynamics robots as sappers. On service of law enforcement agencies was the Spot model is leased.

What tasks will be carried out by the robot, is not reported. The police only say that Boston Dynamics Spot, as well as other robots of department, was used as "the mobile device of remote observation" for providing to law enforcement officers images of suspicious devices or potentially dangerous places where the armed suspect can disappear.
