2023: Automation of Property Accounting and Inventory
The enterprise LLC Portenergo"" switched to automated accounting and inventory of property using Softline Digital. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the customer managed to reduce time and labor costs several times and receive up-to-date data information about the location of material and technical means. Softline announced this on May 30, 2023.
Portenergo is engaged in the storage and transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases and light oil products for export in the seaport of Ust-Luga. To digitalize, in particular, simplify the inventory procedure, the Softline Digital team was involved.
The first stage of implementation was the survey of the customer's site. After the necessary approvals, the Softline Digital team began to adapt the solution to the client's business processes. The software part of the solution is based on the Russian Union EAM platform, and the hardware room consists of data collection terminals and radio tags (RFID readers), which transmit a signal about the position of accounting objects.
A special task was to find suitable labels for outdoor storage facilities - various tanks and process units that needed to be monitored in the heat, snow and rain. To solve this problem, Softline Digital specialists, together with the Russian manufacturer Siltek, selected marks with a special type of mount.
Among the works performed:
- Development and approval of the technical design,
- Modifications according to the technical design,
- Development of as-built documentation,
- Instructing users.
The result of the project was the introduction of a software and hardware complex, which shows in real time data about each accounting tool: the object card contains up-to-date information about the location, responsible persons, users, movement history.
The platform made it possible to simplify one of the most time-consuming processes in the organization: previously financially responsible persons, accountants and other employees spent several months on the re-accounting procedure. Thanks to the implemented solution, the inventory of equipment and other material resources is fully automated, which made it possible to reduce the time and labor costs of the customer's employees.
