UHF label "Phyllite" for metal structures

On April 18, 2022, the Siltek Group of Companies presented the Fillit radio frequency UHF tag for installation inside metal structures.

UHF label "Phyllite"

The flagship UHF label "Phyllit" is made of radiotransparent plastic and is intended for marking drill pipes (and not only) with internal placement. It holds the signal at t 350 ° C, withstands aggressive environments and short-term exposure to open fire.

Testing of S-Tag 3D Multilock on pipes

On March 1, 2022, the Siltek Group of Companies announced that its specialists had tested another combined RFID label S-Tag 3D Multilock with a steel cable for group identification on bundles (packages) of pipes. The mark reading range is up to 12 m on metal objects, up to 6 m on objects made of other materials. The length of the cable can vary from 0.4 to 1.5 m.

Thanks to the combination of a long strong cable, a strong locking mechanism and a radiolabel, the product is suitable for sealing and remote identification of objects consisting of several volumetric elements: rod reinforcement and other profiles of rolled metal, pipe rolling, rolled roofing and construction material, cable products, industrial hoses and hoses, etc. It is recommended to use S-Tag 3D Multilock both in the processes of moving and storing objects, including in extreme external conditions.

File:Aquote1.png
"The main task in the development of the S-Tag 3D Multilock was to create a combined product that would combine a full-fledged power locking and sealing device with high forensic resistance, compactness and a radio tag that provides a high reading range. When modeling the design, our compact radiometer was taken as a basis, which was isolated from the environment in a plastic sealed case made of material resistant to aggressive media (acids, petroleum products), extreme temperature and weather conditions. Cable diameter can be 1.5 mm or 2.5 mm at customer's request, "-

- says Dmitry Nechaev, head of the Engineering Center of the Siltek Group of Companies.
File:Aquote2.png

Bundles of 12 pipes participated as the S-Tag 3D Multilock test object, which took a trip from the territory of the Southern Federal District through the Northern Sea Route to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

File:Aquote1.png
"The movement of pipes with tags took place in rather harsh climatic conditions: at an air temperature of minus 50-60 ° C, almost 100% humidity, precipitation and salt fog. We met the cargo at the destination and made sure that the S-Tag 3D Multilock passed all these tests. The reading range test pleased both us and the customer. The peculiarity of this mark is also that the cable in a closed state acts as an additional antenna, doubling the reading range. We knew about this effect on the example of the previous generation of similar tags and applied it here, "-

explains Maxim Selivanov, Director of the Department of Conservation Technologies of Siltek Group of Companies
File:Aquote2.png

The combined S-Tag 3D Multilock label is easy to install and use; processing of data transmitted by the reader takes place in the customer's IT system, into which special software is integrated.

They work reliably in the widest temperature ranges, in aggressive environments, are suitable for the required type of installation and are stably read at a distance of 5-7 m. The Chainway S72 data collection terminal is offered as a basic universal model, however, it can be replaced with other devices, including premium models from the manufacturer Zebra Technologies.

Sillink software was developed by programmers of the Siltek Group of Companies, is fully adapted for an ordinary user, its interface is intuitive, no more complicated than an ordinary smartphone. The software is preinstalled on the terminal and included in the package, mastering the program by the customer takes a couple of hours and does not require special knowledge and skills, is carried out under the consulting support of the company's specialists.

{{quote 'The main idea of   our comprehensive solution is maximum simplicity and availability, extremely short implementation time, - says Maxim Selivanov, Director of the Department of Safety Technologies of Siltek Group of Companies. - We offer a large selection of UHF tags that have proven themselves in the market. In addition, our technological and production capabilities allow us to quickly modify existing label models for the configuration of MAP structures. If necessary, we can make them as invisible as possible using plastic in the tone of the marking object, or vice versa - bright, of any color up to fluorescent. We can also change the shape of the case, use various types of plastics, increase the degree of protection against moisture and dust, if the operating conditions require it. When I say "promptly," this is true - the development of a modified model takes 2-4 weeks. }}

RFID tag in UHF S-Tag Steel range

On January 12, 2021, it became known that engineers of the Siltek Group of Companies created a radio frequency tag in the UHF S-Tag Steel range with a steel body with a reading range of up to 7.5 m.

S-Tag Steel

As explained, the label was developed in the framework of cooperation with the integrator 2050.digital (part of the international Ctrl2GO group) to create an automated system for radio-frequency identification of wheelsets and traction motors of locomotives for the Digital Depot project. The RFID system allows you to collect data on locomotive numbers, wheelsets and traction motors in automatic and manual modes, transfer data to a single bus for subsequent integration with measurement results, mileage, etc.

S-Tag Steel is resistant to aggressive media (acids, alkalis) and ultraviolet rays; withstands temperature differences in the range from -60ºS to +300ºS, shock and vibration load, high pressure.

A group of specialists from several departments of the Siltek Group of Companies worked on the product. Design engineers optimized the design of the prototype product, developed and created technological tooling for assembly and injection molding, prepared product quality control procedures. The production engineers selected the brands of materials and the technological parameters of casting high-temperature plastic.

File:Aquote1.png
We had a real wheelset, to which we welded the marks and tested them in the "field" - for reading range, signal stability and other parameters.

told Dmitry Nechaev, head of the project department of the Siltek Group of Companies
File:Aquote2.png

The implementation of the RFID system will allow you to customize the management of the processes of identification and accounting of rolling stock in the procedures for their repair and maintenance.

Launch S-Tag 3D Multilock

On December 3, 2020, the Siltek group of companies launches the MULTILOCK - S-Tag 3D MULTILOCK locking and sealing device with an RFID mark reading range of up to 10 meters into mass production. The scope of application is marking of metal containers, tanks and any type of transport for sea, road and railway transportation.

The device has several structural and radiophysical features. Firstly, this is the use of a cable CCR as the main installation element, which allows you to significantly expand the possibilities of using S-Tag 3D MULTILOCK. It also gave the product the function of a disposable seal, it is impossible to remove it from the identification object without leaving traces. Secondly, the radio tag uses a radio frequency identifier created specifically for working on metal, which, when installed, allows the tag to be placed either side, on any surfaces. Thirdly, the radio frequency identifier is located in its sealed case separately from the elements of the CCR design. Thus, the operation of S-Tag 3D MULTILOCK is possible in any weather conditions, and the body material withstands the ingress of various aggressive compositions and liquids, including alkalis, acids, oil products.

The main feature of the S-Tag 3D MULTILOCK label is that its cable is an antenna element and repeatedly enhances the reading range to 10 meters when the cable closes in the CCR and is installed on the aircraft.

File:Aquote1.png
We wanted to continue the MULTILOCK line, get away from the lock keys that fix the cable in the lock and make the radio tag more functional, compact and convenient, "says Dmitry Nechaev, head of the Engineering Center of Siltek Group of Companies. - As a result, we not only realized all the wishes, but also, moreover, we managed to investigate and apply interesting radiophysical properties, which made it possible to use the cable as an antenna, repeatedly strengthen the radio signal and, as a result, the reading range. This property allows you to remotely identify objects, apply group reading and search for the desired, specific radio tag among many.
File:Aquote2.png

File:Aquote1.png
The need for this product is very great, - says Maxim Selivanov, Director of the Department of Preservation Technologies of the Siltek Group of Companies. - In our country with a complex climate and a large number of logistics operations, you need to provide the customer with a comfortable device in circulation. Nothing is easier than inserting one end of the cable into the lock hole and tightening it. The diameter of the cable allows you to do this in conditions of poor visibility and with gloves.
File:Aquote2.png

The S-Tag 3D MULTILOCK polypropylene case guarantees temperature drop resistance from -60ºS to +100ºS. In addition, the label is one of the most compact among analogues - 34 * 32 mm. The diameter of the cable can be of two types - 1.5 or 2.5 mm, which makes it possible to use the CCR as a lock and firmly hold the identification object. Variability of cables allows to select which force the device must withstand for rupture - not less than 180 kgf or more than 500 kgf.

UHF release of S-Tag 3D RFID tags from polypropylene

On July 14, 2020, it became known that the Siltek group of companies significantly modified and released a batch of UHF RFID tags S-Tag 3D.

The marks use another material for the body - polypropylene, due to which it easily withstands the long-term effects of ultraviolet light, alkali, acids and oil products, low temperatures; absolutely airtight. These marks work best on objects made of metal (at least 19 m), but they also show themselves well on other surfaces (at least 9 meters).

File:Aquote1.png
We are constantly improving our basic RFID products to meet customer requests, and as a result, we have products with parameters that are interesting to the entire market. In this case, the new S-Tag 3D model can be widely used in any industry under a wide variety of operating and reading conditions. In particular, we are now testing the identification of this label using a quadcopter,

- noted Maxim Selivanov, Director of the Department of Preservation Technologies of Siltek Group of Companies
File:Aquote2.png

In addition, the S-Tag 3D antenna has been specially modified for use in these cases and work on metal surfaces in aggressive environments.

File:Aquote1.png
Thanks to the professionalism of our specialists, we have achieved a high level of amplitude and frequency characteristics. Today it is the most long-range mark with such compactness, stably working in unfavorable external conditions,
File:Aquote2.png

The first batch of this version of S-Tag 3D will be used to mark metal structures and products for various purposes, which are stored in the open air, where it showed itself perfectly, providing stable identification from different reading angles.

Rework of S-Tag 3D-A electronic tag for UHF labeling

On June 11, 2020, it became known that the Siltek group of companies continues to introduce modern formats of radio-frequency identification technologies for livestock into the livestock industry. The company has significantly improved its flagship product in this area - the electronic label of animal labeling in the ultra-high frequency radio band (UHF) - "S-Tag 3D-A."

By introducing additional elements of casting automation into the technological process at its own plant in the Moscow Region, thereby increasing productivity, the company plans to meet the increasing demand for a new type of electronic labels in animal husbandry in the UHF standard.

S-Tag 3D-A

The lead-in has been redesigned, which animal scientists and veterinarians simply call "dad." The polycarbonate tip has become much sharper, thanks to this, this tag is easy to use even when tagging adult, sexually mature producer bulls, the tagging of which, as a rule, causes difficulties for livestock breeders. Unlike metal tips, the use of polycarbonate is more environmentally friendly and safe for an animal - it does not oxidize or cause problems in the cold, is durable to use, easy to process.

File:Aquote1.png
The demand for UHF tags is growing very quickly, many farms have already appreciated the benefits and advantages of radio frequency identification technology - a long reading distance and the possibility of instant group identification. This ensures the safety of personnel when working with animals, a lower level of stress, and object accounting in animal husbandry allows you to control the main zootechnical and veterinary operations with the preservation of the entire history of a particular animal,

- says Bogdan Zinchenko, head of animal identification at Siltek Group of Companies
File:Aquote2.png

The company is ready to provide large agricultural holdings and medium-sized farms, their requirements for digitalization, automation of animal accounting and identification processes, including on the basis of issue numbers provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation under the state program.

On May 6, 2020, the Siltek Group of Companies announced the development of a UHF RFID label with embedded fastening units in the form of bolts and self-screws for simple fastening - S-Tag AUTO.

RFID-mark with embedded attachment units

The advantage of the device is that the customer receives a product that is completely ready for installation at the identification site, there is no need to spend efforts on the selection of fasteners. The RFID tag can be used to mark vehicles, industrial and warehouse equipment, and various infrastructure facilities.

File:Aquote1.png
The idea to produce a label with fastener parts laid down during casting came, as they say, "from the market," says Maxim Selivanov, director of the Department of Safety Technologies of the Siltek Group of Companies. - In many cases, it is easier for customers to choose a product already with ready-made embedded metalware and immediately start installing and adjusting the software and hardware complex. The timing of the launch of the material accounting system with this approach is halved.
File:Aquote2.png

The material of the label is polypropylene, resistant to temperature differences, dust, moisture, dirt. This technology of placing metal elements in an RFID label made it possible to expand the S-Tag 3D series with magnetic fastening. The production site of Siltek Group of Companies is ready for serial production of both options.

Modification of body radiometers for marking objects of small architectural forms

RFID for MAP
File:Aquote1.png
For these miniature tags, we have provided the ability to integrate UHF chips and antennas, which show the best results in reading range and stability on various surfaces, including metal. Most IAF facilities have complex structures at their core, which should be well readable by the terminal and at the same time are difficult to vandalize: children's play towns (slides, swings, stairs) and workout areas, benches, fences, parking posts, garbage bins,

- says Maxim Selivanov, Director of the Department of Preservation Technologies of Siltek Group of Companies
File:Aquote2.png

The production of Siltek Group of Companies is fully ready for the serial production of UHF RFID-labels for marking MAP objects and the first shipments to customers are already taking place. The entire range is produced on molds of their own design and manufacture. Production facilities can be quickly adjusted to change the size, design, color, materials and chips used when releasing body tags, depending on customer requirements, as well as to increase productivity to meet increased demand.

One of the features of these marks is that they can be fixed quickly and simply, literally with one or two screws, withstand large temperature differences, moisture, dust and dirt, are durable and unpretentious in operation, that is, they can be used in all climatic zones of Russia.

These labels are resistant to aggressive operating conditions by industrial enterprises and temperature differences. The product line is designed to take its rightful place in domestic radio frequency identification projects in the fields of heavy industry, logistics and supply chains. Both companies plan to continue cooperation and expand the 3D line with the most compact solution under the Mini brand.

Tests of labels with UHF RFID chips for frost resistance

On August 27, 2019, the quality department of the company Alpha - Siltek"" (part of the group of companies Siltek"") announced that, at the Russian oil-extracting RFID the request of one of the companies, it had tested its products with frost resistance tags.

Frost resistance tests

Packaged tags with UHF RFID chips were tested: S-tag KEDR, S-tag B-ton, S-tag ELASTIC, S-tag MMD-1, S-tag QUEST, Alpha M1.

All samples were initially tested for identification and reading range at + 25 degrees Celsius and showed the following results:

  • S-tag «KEDR» - ~20 м,
  • S-tag «B-ton» - ~10 м,
  • S-tag «ELASTIC» - ~10 м,
  • S-tag «MMD-1» - ~12 м,
  • S-tag «QUEST» - ~10 м,
  • Alpha M1 - ~ 0.8 m.

Then the samples were immersed in a container of water, which was placed in a climatic chamber until the water completely froze and the temperature gradually reached -60 degrees Celsius. According to the test conditions, ice at least 5 mm thick was frozen on the marks. In total, the products were in such conditions for 30 minutes before the complete freezing.

After extraction from the climatic chamber, a re-determination of the maximum reading range of the marks frozen in the ice was carried out. The measurement results turned out to be similar to the data obtained at a temperature of + 25 degrees Celsius, which proves the complete performance of the tags and the reliability of RFID technology in extremely low temperatures.

The Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radio tag developed by the Micron RFID laboratory has 256-bit EPC memory and can store data: unique support number, geographic coordinates, power supply and lighting line number, year of commissioning, service information, support characteristics and any other data.

A durable plastic case (157x35x26mm) provides a good level of protection of the built-in chip from adverse weather and mechanical influences. You can attach the label using strepping tapes, metal tapes, ties and other flexible tape means.

Serial production of packaged tags with RFID technology

On August 15, 2019, the Siltek group of companies announced the development of serial production of fully domestic corpus tags with RFID technology for marking trees in order to counter illegal logging, as well as guarantees the safety of valuable wood species during transportation.

Packaged RFID tags S-Tag "Cedar" and S-Tag "MMD," devices with a radio frequency identification label of the UHF standard, are designed for remote recognition and accounting of forests and valuable wood species.

Cedar 2

The body of the devices is characterized by increased protective qualities, preserving the radiophysical properties of the antenna and the integrity of the RFID transponder, which withstand shock loads due to the special design of the body. Inlei, developed for these products by PJSC Micron, a strategic partner of Siltek Group of Companies, allow us to talk about a completely domestic decision aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the country's national wealth.

Labels are produced at the Siltek Group of Companies, a modern fully automated production site, which is still the only one in Russia that mass-produces packaged RFID labels of its own S-Tag brand.

S-Tag "MMD"

Marks for marking wood from the Siltek Group of Companies have successfully passed test tests in the Far East - for reading the RFID signal, for frost resistance and plastic strength, for the method of fastening.
