Schools of St. Petersburg passed to "P7 Office"

2021: Implementation of "P7 Office" at schools of Primorsky district

"New communication technologies" announced on February 9, 2021 that they implemented at schools of Primorsky district of St. Petersburg the platform for work with the documents "P7 Office".

As of February, 2021 the project is in a pilot stage, 10 schools participate in it. According to the results of testing further implementation in educational institutions of the city is planned.

"The P7 office platform was selected, first of all, because of an opportunity to unroll it on local school servers — Mikhail Bogdanov, the engineer of the Information and methodical center of Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, the curator of an implementation project of the platform for work with the documents "P7 Office" at schools of Primorsky district told. — It allows us to service and administer a system independently, without resorting to the help of external contractors, completely controlling its work. At the same time the opportunity for work via the Web browser allows to lower requirements to the computing power of school user computers which not at all schools it is possible to call modern. As this Russian software, its use completely corresponds to already issued trend of transition to domestic software products. It will allow to reduce the level of dependence on the foreign developers crucial for information exchange of systems, to raise their security level".

As Mikhail Bogdanov told, at schools not only the basic functionality of "P7 Office" on work with office documents, but also other services is used: messenger, e-mail, bulletin board, sometimes even module of project work. In the long term positive experience of implementation of "P7 Office" will be extrapolated also to other schools of the city and region.

Delivery of the free licenses "P7 Office" to schools of St. Petersburg is not the first experience of implementation of "P7 Office" in educational institutions, noted in NKT. As of the beginning of 2021 the company provided more than 100,000 licenses in educational institutions of the different subjects of the Russian Federation, including YaNAO, the Smolensk, Kostroma, Kurgan regions, Transbaikalia, Tyumen and other regions.

The information and methodical center of Primorsky district executes a role of "the first support line" when using a product.
