On December 26, 2025, Reshetnev JSC, owned by Roskosmos, and FSUE Cosmic Communications (GPKS) signed contracts for the creation of four Express telecommunication satellites. The total value of the contracts is 65.95 billion rubles.
The general director of Roscosmos Dmitry Bakanov said that the signing of the agreements opens the first stage of important work. He stressed that satellites provide tens of millions of users in the country with satellite television and the Internet, communication for aviation and maritime transport, and also solve other telecommunication problems.
