The IT company completed an ECM system implementation project based on software products of IBM in JSC SK ROSNO.
In anticipation of
The project of automation in JSC SK ROSNO is intended for ensuring continuity of business processes due to optimization of execution of operations, settlings with partners and personnel, centralization of an insurance activity. Besides, it was necessary to increase the level of information and documentary support, insurance transactions at the expense of the organization of the centralized storage and, of course, to pay special attention to quality, timeliness and the continuity of the processes connected with registration of financially significant information in the conditions of centralization of an insurance activity.
Unrolled earlier in JSC SK ROSNO freely extended system ceased to meet the growing requirements of business therefore the management of insurance company made the decision to upgrade the Alfresco Enterprise Edition systems to the improved version.
Before works specialists of IT carried out the analysis of opportunities of this software product and specified requirements of the customer. Relying on the received results, the project team of IT made the proposal on change of the platform. Taking into account all recommendations the customer selected single industrial solution from IBM most of which qualitatively allows to carry out the tasks connected with processing of considerable amounts of data that is characteristic of the insurance companies having such geographically distributed structure.
Project. Stages
The project is implemented in several stages.
On the first the main functionality of a system was unrolled, implementation and testing of program components based on the IBM platform is performed, the electronic archive on the temporary equipment of the customer is installed, data migration from the available archive is made, stress testing is executed. All these works were made according to requirements of the customer and in very short time — in total a little more than a month.
At the second stage problems of expansion of functionality of a system, establishing process of work with documents and connections to the system of all remote branches and also to integration of the implemented solution with used in information systems and to data transfer from the existing electronic archives were solved. During the project integration of the systems of IBM and Abbyy FlexiCapture 9.0 was also successfully performed. Function of direct transmission of documents and metadata from one system in another was performed by the universal connector (loader) which is specially developed for this purpose.
Reality
The implemented system is used by the staff of JSC SK ROSNO in all territory of Russia, work with it as at the offices located in Central federal district and in the most remote branches — from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Now there are 1100 users of a system.
The single system of storage and document handling allowed to adjust process of information transfer of geographically distributed branches and the agencies in the operational data processing center of insurance company located in Voronezh.
From the customer
Insurance business is in essence very specific therefore work and its effectiveness in this sphere strongly depends on the adjusted automated workflow. Serious work on implementation of the ESM-system corresponding to the main business requirements to processing of documentation was done. It was succeeded to adjust key business processes in the company and to optimize expenses, Sergey Pegasov, the CIO of JSC SK ROSNO company emphasized.
