In September 2024, the Lehman Missile trading network began using robots in its warehouses as part of a strategic agreement with Yandex. One of the main implementation objects was the Severnaya Zvezda warehouse in Zaramenye, where an artificial intelligence depaletizer robot developed by Yandex Market was launched to automate processes. This is the first such robot used in Russia for retail, which is able to disassemble pallets with boxes of different shapes, sizes and weights and carefully move them to the conveyor.

Roboruk's robot has become an important element of the new strategy for automating Lehman missile defense warehouse operations. According to Vasily Kuznetsov, director of supply chain automation at the company, the introduction of this robot can reduce the cost of depaletisation by 40% and double the speed of operations. In addition, Roboruca is an example of how the application of robotics helps to optimize labor costs and minimize the human factor in the process of working in warehouses.

"Lemana missile defense" uses robots in warehouses

The Lehman Missile Defense Company is not going to stop there. In the near future, it is planned to test and introduce other robots from the Yandex Robotics line, such as Spectro inventory robots and Dilectus picking robots. Spectro will be used to carry out an inventory of goods in the warehouse, while Dilectus is designed to pick up and deliver goods directly to warehouse employees according to the "goods to person" concept. These innovations, according to the company's specialists, will significantly speed up warehouse processes and reduce logistics costs.

According to Lehman Missile Defense, the use of robotics in warehouses is not only a step towards optimizing routine tasks, but also an important part of the strategy to increase the company's competitiveness in the retail market. Reducing costs and increasing the speed of operations through automation creates additional advantages in the struggle for the consumer, as well as improving the quality of customer service.[1]
