Sitronics KT has implemented a system for creating and communicating electronic navigation maps in basin centers

Customers: Rosmorrechflot - Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport

Moscow; State and social structures

Product: SCS and Wireless Network Infrastructure Projects

Project date: 2021/10  - 2023/12

2024: Completion of the development of the system for creating and bringing electronic navigation maps in basin centers

Sitronics KT, a member of Sitronics Group, has completed a three-year contract with the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport for the development of a comprehensive automated system for collecting and promptly transferring updated electronic navigation charts (ENK MSP) to vessels of organizations subordinate to Rosmorrechflot. Sitronics announced this on January 23, 2024.

Within the framework of the project, cartographic centers of two levels were created: one - a regional center and 11 basin centers (for the Administrations of inland waterways basins). Within each of the basin centers, the infrastructure for remote transmission of electronic navigation charts (ENK) has been deployed. The ENK MSP industry center was previously deployed on the basis of the Moscow Channel FSBI.

The regional center is designed to record and accumulate digital cartographic information, conduct office inspections of ENC, and provide updated ENCs to the industry center.

The basin center is designed to plan, control, collect, record and accumulate the initial navigation-hydrographic and topogeodetic digital information of the basin, create ENK and corrective sets in the basin. The data obtained are transmitted to the Regional Centre for ENC verification and adjustment.

The ENC remote transmission infrastructure provides the "last mile" functionality for bringing up-to-date ENCs to ships. It is implemented on the basis of a powerful onshore, Wi-Fi router complex with its own, server updated from the server of the Basin Center through the network (Internet via cable, to satellite and other channels). It is also designed to provide ships with access to the basin information resources, provide a ship-to-shore communication channel, as well as provide data access from the ship to coastal digital services and online information exchange.

The large-scale implementation of the ENC MSP made it possible to make a qualitative leap in the speed of updating and communicating cartographic information by the Administrations of inland waterways basins. Boaters will be able to more quickly receive up-to-date electronic navigation maps and proofreads for them. In 2024, it is planned to supply the remaining four basin centers, which will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the safety of navigation, "commented Marat Ismagilov, Director of the Department of Cartography and Hydrography at Sitronics KT.

Ship Environment Delivery Plan

Sitronics KT, part of the Sitronics Group, announced on November 30, 2021 that it had won an open auction for the supply of marine environment systems (SOC) designed to collect and process navigation, hydrographic information. Customer - Federal Agency for Sea and River Transport.

It is assumed that organizations subordinate to Rosmorrechflot will use complexes for collecting and processing navigation and hydrographic information when laying a fairway during the arrangement and control of the location of buoys, as well as other navigation fencing on inland waterways of the Russian Federation. The data obtained will allow you to quickly adjust electronic maps and display the correct routes to ensure safe navigation.

High-precision/- GLONASSGPS receiver, differential correction receiver from VHF range control and correction stations, hydrographic echo sounder with beam angle from 8 degrees are used for operation of the LCS. Sitronics KT will be equipped with vessels that carry out travel operations. The complex is controlled industrial laptop with and combines into a single technological system all the technical and software tools that are part of it, necessary for collecting and processing navigation and hydrographic information.

"SOK is a completely Russian development. As part of the complex, we supply not only equipment, but also our own software. This approach made it possible to automate the travel process and transfer data to the mapping service online, in real time, "commented Andrey Rodionov, General Director of Sitronics KT.

The delivery of equipment is planned in several stages in 9 regions until November 2023.

Software Delivery Plan for Two-Level Mapping Centers

Sitronics KT on November 23, 2021 announced the victory in the auction for the development of a comprehensive automated system for collecting and promptly transferring updated electronic navigation charts (ENK MSP) to the vessels of organizations subordinate to Rosmorrechflot.

As part of the project, the company will supply specially developed software and equipment for creating mapping centers of two levels: one regional and eleven basin centers for the Inland Waterway Basin Administrations. The infrastructure for remote transmission of electronic navigation charts (ENC) for basin centers will also be deployed. Delivery of the system is planned until November 2023.

The regional center ensures the accounting and accumulation of digital cartographic information, the conduct of office inspections of ENK, the provision of updated ENKs to the industry center, which was previously deployed on the basis of the Moscow Channel FSBI.

The basin center is necessary for planning, monitoring, collecting, recording and accumulating the initial navigation-hydrographic and topogeodetic digital information of the basin, creating ENK and corrective sets in the basin. The obtained data will be transmitted to the Regional Center for verification and adjustment by ENC.

The ENC remote transmission infrastructure is designed to provide ships with access to the basin information resources via the Internet, provide a ship-to-shore communication channel, as well as provide data access from the ship to coastal digital services, prompt exchange of information, bring updated ENC and other information to the ships.

Boaters will be able to more quickly receive up-to-date electronic navigation maps and proofreads for them. Thus, we will be able to take the safety of shipping to a new level, "commented Andrey Rodionov, CEO of Sitronics KT.
