VTB Leasing will provide to Russian Post of 70 luggage mail cars

2019: Delivery of 70 luggage mail cars

On September 23, 2019 the Russian Post reported that VTB Leasing will provide it 70 luggage mail cars of model 61-4505 in leasing for 7 years. Total amount of the agreement will be 2.9 billion rubles.

The relevant contract will be signed based on open auction. Leasing was VTB the only participant of competitive purchase. JSC Tver Carriage Works will act as the producer of cars.

Cars will be delivered to five branches of Russian Post in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Omsk. The rolling stock of the enterprise is going to be increased on the eve of peak transportations of mailings on the eve of New Year's holidays.

Cars of domestic production will help us to update significantly our railway park numbering more than 600 cars for September, 2019. It is especially relevant during the New Year's Eve peak period. We calculate that this project will allow to reduce delivery dates of mailings and will serve development of an e-mail within the country,

We are glad to participate in development of one of the systemically important enterprises of the country and to finance the project on updating of its park. We work with Russian Post since 2010, and in 2018 concluded the bargain on delivery of 107 luggage mail cars. According to the strategy of VTB we use all opportunities to offer the best terms for implementation of socially important projects,

Taking into account this transaction the total quantity of the luggage mail cars operated by Russian Post under agreements from VTB Leasing for September, 2019 will make 290 units.
