2025: Move to VK WorkSpace
The Russian Red Cross has switched to the VK WorkSpace communications platform. 1,000 employees and volunteers of the central office and regional offices have been using corporate collaboration tools from VK Tech since April 2023. Mail, calendar and disk are available to them; since March 2025, an online board has been added to the services. VK Tech announced this on May 13, 2025.
The Russian Red Cross helps people who find themselves in difficult life situations and injured in emergency situations throughout the country. To maintain stable and continuous communication between employees and volunteers, the humanitarian organization needed a proven and convenient solution with, in addition, a high level of security and resiliency. VK Tech provided SRC with special terms and conditions for using the VK WorkSpace platform.
Now the Russian Red Cross can centrally register mailboxes for new employees, volunteers and first aid instructors. Teams were able to improve processes using platform tools: they use mail on the organization's domain, work with documents in shared folders on disk.
We managed to switch to VK WorkSpace in two weeks through mass migration. We connected all employees and volunteers at the same time, moved mailboxes with letters and attachments over the past five years, as well as priority data from the file storage.
The Russian Red Cross operates across the country, covering 11 time zones. In such conditions, it is especially important to have reliable and convenient tools that allow you to maintain continuous communication and interact at any distance. The transition to VK WorkSpace helped us maintain a single information space in which employees and volunteers can work harmoniously, despite the geographical dispersion and different time zones.
