2021: Directum RX Implementation

Russian Plekhanov University of Economics (Plekhanov Russian University of Economics) digitalized more than thirty business processes using Directum RX. This was announced on June 2, 2022 by Directum (Directive). The intelligent system employs 700 users who create more than 5,000 internal documents every month.

For four months, REU im. Plekhanova switched from an outdated electronic document management system, which he used for 12 years, to Directum RX. If earlier employees had to perform a lot of manual actions, today, thanks to the implemented system, the university has accelerated the processes of creating, coordinating and signing documents.

The project started in December 2020. The introduction of Directum RX was independently carried out by university specialists, the team consisted of four employees. They digitalized workflow processes, contractual activities and the organization of meetings: they set up regulations in Directum RX that worked in the previous system, and also added new ones.

Employees were trained to work at Directum RX using a special manual and video courses. All materials on working in the system are available to users on the university portal.

The rapid transition to Directum RX was helped by the involvement of management and employees in the project. The implementation team independently made decisions about changing business processes. At the same time, we did not rewrite the code, but used the basic functionality of the system out of the box, said Pavel Kapninsky Deputy Head of the Department for Informatization of the PRUE named after G.V. Plekhanova.

Thanks to the implementation of Directum RX in the REU named after Plekhanov, document management processes have accelerated, including coordination and signing. Users note a reduction in the complexity of performing routine operations and the convenience of working in the web version and in the Directum Jazz mobile application.
