On March 15, 2019 the Omnicomm company reported that at the beginning of 2019 the DB Schenker company summed up the results of the large-scale project on digitalization of delivery of component parts for car makers of the Kaluga cluster, the Moscow and Samara regions. As the technology partner the OMNICOMM command and local integrator – "Omnikomm Sistems" acted.

According to the company, delivery in the Just in time format is a key principle of DB Schenker which manages network of buying, distribution centers and points of after-sale logistics. The logistic partner should solve at the same time several problems: control of storage conditions of component parts in a warehouse, observance of requirements of car makers when transporting, uninterrupted delivery of components according to the working schedule of the assembly line and the transparent reporting before the client.

Within cooperation with car makers the DB Schenker company attracted the technology partner – the OMNICOMM company which provided the cloud Online the platform of online monitoring of transport. The test period started at the beginning of 2017, and in 2018 navigation terminals were installed on 154 tracks which deliver components to assembly lines of car makers.

Error cost in logistics is quite often calculated by millions of dollars, especially, if it is about transportation of component parts for automotive industry. For car makers it is extremely important to obtain reliable information as with what speed and to what time component parts come to the assembly line. Therefore we follow the international standards DB Schenker, we configure all business processes taking into account high requirements of customers and we guarantee safety of loads on each kilometer against a warehouse to the pipeline. The OMNICOMM command proposed the complete solution, as a result, we strengthened the existing logistics control system from St. Petersburg to Izhevsk.

Within a year specialists of DB Schenker daily estimated functionality of a system. As a result, the company received control of all movements of own and partner vehicles, an opportunity to react quickly to any delays along the line (breakdowns, accidents, etc.) and also to transport deviations from the approved routes of the movement. The staff of DB Schenker gets online access to information even out of office, using the OMNICOMM application on the Android platform.

Vehicle fleet of partners of DB Schenker equipped with the equipment working with other providers of GPS monitoring is also connected to the OMNICOMM online platform. As a result the company scaled monitoring of transport in a format of "single window" on 83 units of vehicles.
