Start date of construction of the center on Russky Island is designated

Construction of the nuclear center for inspection and treatment of oncological patients on Russky Island will begin in the summer 2019. It was said by the Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako during a working trip on December 28, 2018 to Moscow where he met the management of Rosatom state corporation, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and state corporation of development ВЭБ.РФ.

According to the results of a meeting Oleg Kozhemyako noted that five hectares of the earth on Russky Island are reserved for construction of the center. The design estimates of future center are already ready, and in the nearest future documents will direct to state examination.

It is supposed that the center will be able to accept about 6 thousand patients annually. It will give opportunities of inspection and treatments of cancer patients. The powerful cyclotron will also allow to conduct scientific research.

In January, 2019 the Regional administration is going to sign the road map with project participants, to appoint responsible at each stage.[1]

The agreement on creation of the center of proton therapy in Vladivostok

In September, 2018 the Administration of Primorsky Krai and State Corporation Rostec signed the agreement on creation of the center of proton therapy of oncological diseases in Vladivostok.

According to Rostec, the center is going to be opened in 2022. According to preliminary estimates, the clinic will be able to accept more than one thousand patients a year.

The agreement of Administration of Primorsky Krai with Schwab and DVFU

On February 26, 2018 the Schwabe holding signed the agreement of intent on implementation of the investment project in the territory of Primorsky Krai with administration of the region and Far Eastern Federal University (DVFU). The signatures under the document were appended by the acting the governor of Primorye Andrey Tarasenko, the CEO of holding Schwab Alexey Patrikeev and the rector of DVFU Nikita Anisimov.

The agreement assumes creation in Primorye of the centers of nuclear and proton medicine and defines obligations of each party within their construction. It is supposed to implement the project in two stages.

The first stage will be directed to creation of the full-function modular center of a positron and issue and computer tomography (PET/KT) based on the operating PET / KT-otdeleniya the DVFU Medical center in which it is carried out magnetic and resonant (MRT) and a multispiral computer tomography. In department there is also a PET-scanner, but it is necessary to deliver radiopharmaceuticals for carrying out researches from Khabarovsk.

Due to modular execution start of an object should take no more than nine months. In particular, Schwab will provide production and installation of the hi-tech equipment for carrying out a positron emission tomography and also setup tests and execution of allowing documentation.

It is planned that PET / KT-center will be started in 2018 and will be able to accept about 12 thousand patients a year.

Within the second stage Schwab she intends to construct in Primorye the center of proton therapy with annual capacity more than one thousand patients. It will become a pilot project of network of organizations which the investor is going to construct under the auspices of the leading research medical centers and the universities in six regions of Russia.

During creation of the second center the working group will be created and the business plan is approved. Besides, project participants will need to define a configuration of medical institution, to discuss training, to conduct scientific research and to provide the project to the Russian Ministry of Health.[2] Start of the center of proton therapy presumably will take place by 2022.

Besides, Andrey Tarasenko, Alexey Patrikeev and Nikita Anisimov signed the road maps providing a number of specific steps on creation of two medical institutions in Primorye.

Need of Primorsky Krai for PET / KT-issledovaniyakh using the corresponding radio pharmaceutical medicines makes not less than 6 thousand procedures a year. The holding is ready to apply long-term experience and all available resources to providing the region with necessary hi-tech base. The centers will be able annually to accept up to 12 thousand patients. It is important that medical aid can be received free of charge according to the territorial program of state guarantees. Within this signing road maps on both objects are approved, a practical part of implementation will begin further — the CEO Schwab Alexey Patrikeev told.

As noted, intention of Schwabe company to create the centers of nuclear and proton medicine in the region became known at the beginning of February, 2018 during the meeting of the acting the Governor of Primorye Andrey Tarasenko with representatives of holding. Then in holding said that in addition to construction of organizations on rendering the hi-tech help to cancer patients through the whole country, including in Primorye, in plans Schwab — ensuring training for the new medical centers. Including the opinion that at successful project implementation in Primorye it would be possible to train the personnel for the PET-center in DVFU was expressed.[3]

2017: The concessionary agreement about creation of the Center of nuclear medicine on Russky Island

In September, 2017 the concessionary agreement about creation on Russky Island of the Center of nuclear medicine was signed the CEO of Atommedtekhnolodzhi-Far East LLC (at that time – affiliated enterprise JSC Rusatom Healthcare) Anna Bondarenko and the vice governor of Primorye Pavel Serebryakov. Creation of the center and its start in operation planned by the end of 2020.

2015: The agreement of Rosatom and Rusnano on construction of the center of nuclear medicine in Primorye

Initially Rosatom and Rusnano participated in the project construction of the center of nuclear medicine in Primorye, the relevant agreement was signed on the first WEF in 2015. It was supposed that the center will open the doors for patients in 2017.[4]
