2025: Receiving a grant of 125 million rubles for the development of the geo-information system

In early June 2025, the Government of the Russian Federation resumed the issuance of grants for projects of industrial competence centers (ICC). Among them is the project for the development of the geoinformation system of Sheremetyevo Airport. A grant of 125 million rubles was allocated for it.

According to TAdviser in the office of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko, within the framework of this project of Sheremetyevo Airport, such functions as visualization of objects (both dynamic and static) on a map with reference to geographical coordinates will be implemented. It is assumed that the system will promptly inform about the malfunctioning situations of the airport in a single interface, increasing the efficiency of managing airport resources. The company "Opening Code" is engaged in the implementation of this project

During the selection of projects of the second wave, on behalf of Dmitry Grigorenko, an additional assessment of their economic efficiency and replication potential was carried out. All developments claiming the status of particularly significant projects were considered by development institutions - the Russian Fund for the Development of Information Technologies and the Skolkovo Foundation. Also, all projects participating in the selection passed an independent examination, within the framework of which an assessment of the industry and cross-industry demand, the economic feasibility of expenses and the timing of the project was carried out. In addition, the developments were checked for compliance with the requirements for inclusion in the register of software and PAC, specified in the office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

Sheremetyevo Airport is headed by the Airports ICC, the purpose of which is to quickly replace foreign industry digital products at the country's airports with domestic software solutions. The geo-information system developed by the air harbor is a key project of the airport management information system to improve efficiency and optimize production activities, predict the development of the operational situation and issue a recommendation.

2021: Using a geoinformation system to monitor artificial aerodrome surfaces

Sheremetyevo International Airport on July 20, 2021 announced that it uses a geo-information system for managing production activities to promptly monitor the state of artificial coatings of the airfield territory.

Based on numerous analytical and technological developments and tests, Sheremetyevo Airport services have created and implemented an interactive system for managing the destruction of artificial coatings (ISURIP). ISURIP was formed on the basis of the Synchron central airport database and is a single source of data on the actual operational state of artificial coatings of flight field elements.

This system includes detailed information on the following modules:

ISURIP allows you to effectively monitor the state of artificial pavements of Sheremetyevo airfield with the ability to display on the general map of the airport in order to promptly respond to any deviations. In addition, the system records the necessary information about defects in the airfield pavement: type and nature of the defect, exact location, date and time of detection, geometric dimensions, degree of danger, etc.

The system is an effective tool for the technical and financial management of airport operations. In particular, it allows you to carry out long-term financial planning, predict the amount of funds and resources necessary for the repair of artificial coatings and control the timing of warranty repairs.

Thanks to the ISURIP system, it was possible to increase efficiency and optimize the cost of repairing artificial coatings.
