Shiseido (producer of cosmetics and perfumery) completed implementations of the second product from SAP

Rapid growth of the company, and, therefore, strategic plans on increase in a share of presence in the market became premises of implementation of the BI solution in Shiseido (RUS) LLC company. Became obvious that accurate tracking of operational data is capable to make an additional profit. Data from the accounting systems required fast extraction, processing and evident representation for acceptance of effective solutions. Growth of turnover, diversification of a client portfolio and a portfolio of brands with which the company works caused advance in price of each management decision and requirement to make the decision on the basis of the analysis of the complete and structured information. The analytical platform, first of all, was necessary for management of the company.
When choosing the platform special attention was paid to convenience of work of users, fast return of investments, simplicity of embedding of the solution in the existing IT landscape. These requirements were satisfied by packaged solution of SAP BusinessObjects Edge. The partner of implementation of the analytical platform the Shiseido (RUS) LLC company became Softline Solutions company.
On project deliverables the company management notes the following high-quality and quantitative changes which the analytical SAP Business Objects platform allowed to reach:
- The transparent, harmonious reporting (P&L to the level of operating profit in details by products and sales channels), accomplishment of the global requirements to the reporting existing in Group;
- Simplification of analytical work. Employees who before implementing solution were engaged in preparation and interpretation of data were engaged in other important tasks;
- Growth/maintenance of operational profitability due to identification of ineffective expenses, redistributions of resources between channels sales/products/brands;
- Optimization of work of a supply chain, reduction of a trade inventory, increase in forecasting accuracy, as a result — increase in working capital for growth and development.
Let's remind that in October, 2009 it was announced completion of implementation of the ERP system of SAP Business One.
