Extent of influence of performance of ERP on upgrade of IT in JSC Solikamsk Magnesian Plant

On September 28, 2015 Softline announced upgrade of IT infrastructure of JSC Solikamsk Magnesian Plant.

Project Tasks

As one of the main management tools activity of the enterprise uses Alpha ERP system. This software solution is rather exacting to computing resources. In process of growth of business of the enterprise, the used server hardware everything to a lesser extent conformed to security requirements and fault tolerance while expenses on its maintenance grew.

Project Progress

Softline executed the project on upgrade of a server framework. The failsafe, scalable solution on the basis of technologies EMC also VMware increased performance ERP- the systems of the enterprise and helped to solve business problems more effectively.

During the project specialists of the contractor implemented at the enterprise of the customer the complete solution from a storage system of EMC, the software for backup of Symantec BackupExec, the DL360 Gen9 HP server hardware and solutions for virtualization on the VMware vSphere platform. The storage of backup copies EMC DataDomain with mechanisms of deduplication and archiving of data is put into operation.

As the monitor of IT processes the solution Microsoft System Center Operations Manager is deployed.

Project Results

The failsafe server framework created in a project deliverable helped the customer - to ensure reliable and operational functioning of the ERP system of Alpha that in turn, promoted increase in efficiency of business processes.

"The complete solution deployed by specialists of Softline increased fault tolerance of IT infrastructure of the plant. Virtualization, in turn, helped to minimize idle times which could arise because of malfunctions on physical servers: at any incidents automatic restart of tasks on the working virtualization cluster servers is provided. Besides, such solution allows to place on the physical server several virtual machines at once that reduces the customer's costs for acquisition of the equipment", - Anton Chernyavsky, the director of the department of sales of service and complex projects of representative office of Softline in Yekaterinburg noted.
