2023: Installation of equipment for architectural and artistic lighting of the TV tower

In St. Petersburg, the installation of architectural and artistic lighting equipment of the RTRS TV tower is underway. RTRS announced this on December 11, 2023.

The television tower on Aptekarsky Island will soon appear in a new light. By the beginning of December 2023, the old lighting equipment was completely dismantled. The tower has 5,724 LED lamps, the total length of the "garlands" was almost 6 km. Previously, the tower was painted, the corrosion protection of metal structures was updated.

The development of the design project and the installation of the backlight of the TV tower is carried out by the same company that solved similar problems at the Ostankino TV tower in Moscow.

On December 11, 2023, the stage of installation of lighting equipment ends. Pre-commissioning is in progress.

Preparatory technical work on the tower took about 7 months.

It is important to note that neither the dismantling of old equipment nor the installation of new equipment prevented continuous television and radio broadcasting.
