Creating digital content and ensuring remote access of users to archival information, as well as ensuring the safety of archival documents by restricting the use of originals and introducing electronic copies of archival documents into practice is one of the priority areas of work of the State Archive of Ugra.

The annual volume of electronic copies of archived documents is 1000 units of storage (approximately 130,000 images) of especially valuable and most demanded archival documents of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods - mainly documents of institutions and organizations of the period of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, reflecting the life of the district during the war years and the contribution of residents and enterprises of the district to Victory, - said Kharin Evgeny Pavlovich, head of the department of the scientific reference apparatus and automated archival technologies of the State Archive of Ugra.

And also these are documents of a genealogical nature - metric books, books of acts of civil status, documents of personal origin of prominent residents of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra - figures of science, education, culture and sports, participants in the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, participants in local wars, photo documents.

ElarScan A2-800KS will allow archive employees to digitize even complex materials, including worn and old, with faded text, handwritten font, small characters. The transformable cradle has a flat and V mode, which makes it possible to scan stitched originals with full and incomplete disclosure. High quality electronic copies will be provided by a powerful camera with a resolution of 600-1000 DPI, while a special UltraHQ (400 megapixel) mode with high image detail is available. The quality of digitization complies with international standards ISO, FADGI, Metamorfoze.
