2025: Introduction of Axelot WMS X5

The company "Stylish kitchens and interiors" manages the warehouse of materials for production using the AXELOT WMS system. Axelot (Axelot) announced this on February 11, 2025.

The automation of warehouse logistics helped the company "Stylish kitchens and interiors" significantly increase the transparency of the turnover processes, control their efficiency and receive detailed reporting on the operation of the warehouse in various sections.

The company "Stylish Kitchens and Interiors" is a service of interior solutions for the whole house, and a full-cycle production complex is a key link in the value chain for customers.

The production complex for more than 60 thousand square meters. m is located in the Shchelkovsky district of the Moscow region. There is also a warehouse with an area of 15,000 square meters. m., from which consumables are shipped to the factory, and finished products come back. Then it is sent to customers or retail outlets of the branded network.

Production and business process requirements are constantly increasing, and modern solutions are required to achieve the required level of automation. One such solution was AXELOT WMS. It was important for the production and warehouse manager to take into account the specific storage of all types of materials and components, plus to optimize storage areas.

The implementation of AXELOT WMS had the following objectives:

  • increased efficiency of the processes of commodity flow management in the warehouse;
  • Implementation of warehouse and employee workload monitoring tools
  • Real-time access to inventory data in warehouses
  • organization of materials accounting with the ability to monitor residues and movements taking into account industry specifics;
  • reduced influence of human factor on reproduction of typical warehouse operations.

AXELOT has implemented a solution that fully meets the needs of the customer, significantly increases the transparency of the warehouse and takes into account the peculiarities of technological and business processes.

Goods to the warehouse are received from different sources - purchasing from suppliers, putaway from production. When generating the expected receipt documents, the arrival dates of the goods in the warehouse are taken into account. If multiple dates are specified for a single delivery, multiple expected receipt documents are created based on a single plan.

The warehouse employee first brings the received goods to the storage standards, marks it with internal labels with a structural barcode (article number and batch) and only then performs acceptance from the shipping documentation. In the process, the place of storage, the actual state of the goods and its quantity are recorded.

At LCM, Hardware and slab materials warehouses, acceptance is carried out on pallets, while the label of storage places at each warehouse has its own prefix. In the Tools warehouse, the acceptance is performed in trays. The placement also takes into account the requirements of different storage sites. For example, in the Tools warehouse, goods are laid out in the unit sampling area to the same storage objects, and in the chipboard warehouse, compatibility settings are taken into account when planning the pallet placement cell.

The warehouse uses several types of shipments:

  • transfer of materials to the storeroom - transfer to production;
  • Writing off goods on demand - the process of shipping from the main warehouse
  • Goods transfer - the process of moving within your own warehouses.

When you generate a shipment order, the transaction type information is taken into account, and this details determines whether consolidation is required (it is only used for shipment from the Hardware warehouse) and the final bin after selection. Selection planning in raw materials and materials (CM) warehouses is carried out taking into account FIFO, batch and remaining shelf life are recorded.

When selecting at the Hardware warehouse, a specialized stationary tablet integrated with weighing equipment is used. When performing sampling tasks on a tablet, an employee can not enter data manually, but put the product on the scale and scan the barcode on the scale, thereby confirming the selection.

A specific process in the furniture warehouse is assembly/disassembly of sets. At Stylish Kitchens and Interiors, AXELOT WMS now manages this task. Finished products assembled in the warehouse are not stored, they are made on order. Tasks for assembling furniture of certain sizes and configuration are received from technologists to the assembly workshop. They, in turn, order the necessary goods from the C&M warehouse both for a specific order and for the total production demand. Information on the composition of the set with the nomenclature specification is unloaded from the corporate information system (CIS), based on it, a pick order is created in WMS with the type "assembly" or "disassembly."

An assembly is a "production" in a warehouse of a certain item of several. For example, two nomenclature items - a loop and a closer - "turn" into a new nomenclature - a loop with a closer. Disassembly is the opposite process: for example, a set of loops and self-screws is "divided" into independent nomenclature positions "loop" and "self-thread."

After the selection is performed, a packing list for a specific conduit or order is printed. As a result of consolidation, a shipping document for the flight is formed, which indicates the number of boxes in the order, their embedding with detailing by quantity. After the assembly/disassembly operation, a confirmation is sent to the CIS.

In parallel with the introduction of WMS in the company "Stylish kitchens and interiors" began to use the new ERP system. Efficient data exchange between AXELOT WMS and the enterprise information system was made possible by system integration, which was implemented using Datareon Platform tools. The task of integration was undertaken by specialists from SOFROS, a partner of AXELOT and DATAREON.

Close partnerships have made it possible to efficiently plan work and agree on deadlines, taking into account the readiness of integration facilities, as well as quickly coordinate integration requirements and labor costs within individual tasks.

Thanks to the introduction of AXELOT WMS, Stylish Kitchens and Interiors was able to achieve its goals. All key warehouse operations are automated, management has access to operational information about warehouse operation and can monitor the efficiency of space use. The system stores the history of the movement of goods and materials at all stages - from receipt to write-off from any site, that is, taking into account all movements within the warehouse network. The system automatically processes the variances between the planned quantity and the actual quantity in any of its movements. The number of errors in the assembly of orders has significantly decreased, it has become possible to monitor the performance of operations and the work of warehouse employees in real time.

The introduction of the AXELOT WMS system made it possible to increase the efficiency of the warehouse and production in the company "Stylish kitchens and interiors."
