The National Guard of the Russian Federation buys VR glasses for training of employees

On July 14, 2020 Rostec announced the beginning of deliveries of VR headsets of the National Guard of the Russian Federation for preparation and a training of the military personnel in virtual reality. The equipment is made on Ryazan Radio Plant entering into Ruselectronics holding ("subsidiary" of Rostec).

Rosgvardeytsa use 3D - the points allowing to work in the virtual space created using 3D models and photorealistic circular panoramas. Being in three-dimensional space, the serviceman works skills for further work with the real equipment.

Also follows from the message of Rostec that the equipment of Ruselectronics allows to integrate radio networks in which the military personnel works at real radio stations, with a radio network in an educational class. At the same time one part of trainees is in actual practice, and another — in virtual.

During the exercises points not just project the digital picture, but also transfer actions of the fighter to the command center where there is a management. Instructors can adjust actions of division in real time. Bidirectional coupling simplifies assessment procedure of actions of staff.

In the future points of virtual reality are going to be used directly in fight — they will be able to provide to soldiers necessary information from the headquarters or prospecting point online. And the picture which is taken by the device will allow command to receive parts about the area.   It is noted that the complex of educational and training means is developed on the basis of the domestic software. The equipment can be used to visualization not only virtual reality, but also augmented reality and the mixed reality.

The equipment was installed at the Perm military institute of the National Guard Troops of Russia. Virtual points are applied to communication training of specialists.^[1]
