2021: Creation of an interactive museum using a mobile assistant guide, VR and AR technologies
On September 27, 2021, the Borlas and Stroyimpuls Group announced the completion of work on the project to create an interactive complex of the Togliattikauchuk Museum.
When developing the concept of the museum, the project participants set themselves the goal - to present the history, significance and prospects of the company in a format optimal for various groups of visitors.
At first, the archives of the Togliatti Museum of Local Lore were processed and digitized, and the territory of the Togliattikauchuk company was photographed and videographed. Then, based on the materials obtained, VR and AR exhibits were created.
It was decided to expand the possibilities of the classic exposition of the museum by using interactive elements, the most interesting of which is the mobile assistants of the guide. This is the development of Borlas, which allows you to diversify the sightseeing route with elements of gamification, as well as implement the management of a group of visitors through personal mobile devices.
The task of creating a mobile guide assistant required non-standard approaches and the development of special software. Various scenarios of visitor behavior were worked out. Careful selection of optimal types of devices was carried out to support storytelling in the museum space. As a result, profile solutions were created, as well as a museum management complex, which is a single circuit that includes various interactive devices: screens, projectors, interactive panels woven into a common rope of composition.

At the next joint meeting, as a veteran, I was invited to do this work. The creation of the museum of the enterprise is collective work, so the discussion and study of the details required the formation of a working group, which was headed by the chief engineer - technical director Pavel Kubryakov.
The group included:
- Kryukov Alexander Vasilievich
- Mushkova Olga Valentinovna
- Parkhandeev Maxim Olegovich
- Kulikov Sergey Alexandrovich
- Andreeva Natalya Vladimirovna
- Filatova Marina Mikhailovna
- Shatskaya Tatyana Vladimirovna.
The entire company team participated in the creation of the museum. Mushkova Olga Valentinovna, head of OSIHO (service and economic support department), took an active part in creating the museum's exposition, preparing content and developing the concept.
The main filling of the museum space is numerous light columns and panels, which reflect shots of the "shock Komsomol construction site," portraits of the first leaders and workers, photographs of significant moments and interesting facts related to the enterprise. Here you can get acquainted with the collection of helmets, phones, consider the awards that the company received for its products, and other objects of the past.
The museum has multimedia equipment, including: VR glasses, which allow you to transfer to the workshops, and operator enterprises, and an interactive stand, which allows you to get information about the production and people who built and continue to build the plant. A mobile application has also been deployed that automates the management of a group of visitors and complements real objects in VR, "-}}
"In a short time, an object of culture was created on the territory of Togliattikauchuk, which is important not only for the enterprise, but also for the city of Togliatti. As part of the project, we used exposure building technologies that made it possible to implement the developed solutions, and partners from the Borlas Group created software and hardware complexes for interactive systems, " Tatyana Vladimirovna Fedorova,
project manager for Stroyimpuls, summed up the results of the work. |
"Together with Stroyimpuls, we created an interactive exposition, which can be visited by up to 100 tourists at the same time. The multi-level concept of the museum space includes real objects and elements of a virtual excursion. To get acquainted with the exposition, both personal gadgets of visitors and interactive tables, projectors and other equipment of the museum are used. This does not cancel the participation of guides, but makes visiting the exposition cognitive and fascinating, " Igor
